we stayed 3 nights in the apartments behind the hotel, the hotel was well located and with the bar and restaurant opened at convenient times, it was a good choice, the rooms could have been better, no service for 3 days was ok but inadequate toiletries was a tad disappointing. Beds were basic.
Only had a quick drink here before heading back to our accommodation for the night - we were very fortunate to be here at this time and grateful that the hotel had some tables out front outside for us to enjoy the passing parade. We were here for the Winter Flame Festival parade down the main street. Absolutely brilliant hearing the talent of the bagpipe players and drummers as they walked down the road.
Food was average, service a little longer than expected. For the price servings were on the smaller side, but then I guess you gotta pay the tax for being in the Barossa. Better hotels around that's for sure, wouldn't rush back
Visited the pub as not many options open on a Monday for dinner and it did not disappoint! Visiting for a few day and glad we found this place, food was classic pub style and good serving size, what looks like new renovated area was nice thoughtfully done and the beer garden would be great during the day. Drinks on the expensive side
The Hotel was aware of the very large booking they had for Saturday night tea time but didn't put on extra staff only one area to order your meal which had a huge line and one person serving.nThe prices are on the menu, which came to a total of $67 yet I was charged $80 didn't actually notice until we got home.nand it wasn't for drinks, we had another $8 charge for a light beer, and I drank the table water.nI think when you have over 80 people booked in for tea maybe you could offer table service to take orders instead of having big lines and very long waits.nAll the staff were extremely nice even though they were rushed off their feet.nThe half serves which are only a few dollars less than a full serve meal are very small.nThe schnitzels are some of the smallest pub serves I've seen.nDon't get half serves thinking you're going to be served a giant meal, full serves are much smaller than other pubs.
