Went a couple of times in our short trip to Cairns and thoroughly enjoyed the food each time… portions are generous and reasonably priced, place is simple and clean and staff is friendly… very comfortable and homey food… highly recommend… Kid-friendliness: Nice and relaxed atmosphere so it’s good if going with kids…
Really bad experience . Ordered Pau bhaji - Bhaji was like a curry too watery and buns were hard. chilli momos - oil was literally coming out of momos while eating. Dosa - too thick layer and filled with mustard seed. Most importantly, we got sick after eating that food.
Have tried both lunch and dinner here. Both times the staff are friendly and helpful. Now been here several times for dinner. Dinner - Tasty food. Very tender chicken and lamb. Unfortunately quite slow for food to arrive although that may have been because a large tour group was due in that evening. Lunch - Highly recommended for lunch. Thali non vegetarian option can't be beaten for lunch!
So called large butter chicken which costed $26 was not large by no standards and was super sweet like sugar syrup. So called extra large goat masala was lamb instead of goat. Again the size was not even large. Let alone extra large. So after paying 180 dollar, I have a hungry family. Stay away at any cost. Look at floating oil in goat masala. Size is clearly a standard box claimed as extra large. No one answers the phone call. Really upset with sub standard food and cheating behaviour by the restaurant.
Quite possibly the worst India meal I have had. I have had 1000's. Complaints are as follows: - in an almost empty restaurant, it took 40 minutes to be served - overpriced and prices not as stated on the menu board - rice appeared to be reheated, bland and tasteless - curries were of shopping mall quality - waiting staff were slow on every request - a child got sick after the meal
One of the best Nepalese and Indian food we had here very friendly service plus food delicious next level can’t go wrong.Highly recommended to all the customer must try their Punjabi chicken curry,mo:mo,chicken noodle and many more to explore love coming here. This is my favourite joints for munchies
Worst Indian food I have every had bar none. Soooo expensives and it tastes like primary school glue.
If you can walk past the delicious aromas you will be missing a wonderful treat. The chickpea pastry meat samosa with tamarind sauce is a must!!! Finally found an Indian restaurant that doesn’t overpower the sauces with tomato. The Rohan Josh classic won’t disappoint!
Delicious Indian food. The samosa and Gulabjamun were a treat… must visit place for anyone looking for an Indian meal in the city if Cairns!!! Vegetarian options: Excellent veg and Jain options
Not the best restaurant to taste if you're looking for authentic south indian restaurant. Below average food, Took too long to serve, 2 families ordered food - first one ordered online and second 1 at the counter as the family didn't want to share tjeir personal details. All of the second order came first despite stating in the first online order to serve whenever the food was cooked. One of our orders didn't arrive for 90 mins until we had to remind them 3 times. Masala Dosa - wasn't a traditional masala Dosa. It was rather a Ghee Dosa with masala inide it. Sambar had no flavour and was thick like porridge. The Coconut chutney was just a namesake watery thing, which didn't taste like coconut. Mysore Masala Dosa - served the wrong Dosa, promptly replaced with the correct order. But the Dosa had no flavour or salt. Same gooey sambar and co in it chutney. Pander masala Dosa - took 90 minutes and 3 reminders to receive, but was again bland with not much flavour. The pre-teen was no longer hungry by the time the order arrived. Veg Noodles - this was a fusion confusion. The noodles was a bit dry with very little sauce and again no flavour to the dish or salt. The vegetables were visible in the dish but somehow were tasteless. TQuite oddly the noodles was made with butter which overpowered the flavours and wasnt thr best fusion noodles ive had. Also lacked flavours apart from butter. Paneer Pakoras - apparently this was good, the kids loved it. PS - I'm native south indian and has tasted traditional south indian dishes in 100's of Indian restaurants. And this will definitely be in the bottom of the list in Australia. Would I visit again - no. Wild I recommend to anyone - no. Although this restaurant is slightly better priced than the adjacent restaurant, the food requires more life.
