What do you get when you combine education with wine? Drunk professors. Best tour ever I thought I new a lot about wine but Jan was able to enlighten me in with some very interesting facts. For awesome entertainment, backed by knowledge and experience this tour is you best bet
What a great day we had with Jan showing our group of 11 ladies from North Queensland his back yard, the Tamar Vally here in Tasmania. He is so knowledgeable both about the wines and the local history keeping us entertained for the whole day, and going out of his way to point out interesting facts and places. I would highly recommend his Tamar Valley Food and Wine Boutique Tours to anyone visiting the area. 5 stars from me. Thanks Jan for a great experience.
The tour operator was excellent and informative. Bus ride was very comfortable. All of the vineyards and distillers we visited were welcoming and presented and explained their products enthusiastically.nWe enjoyed all of the produce so much that we purchased a bottle or 2 at each stop, I wanted to buy even more but couldn't carry any more !nAbsolutely worth taking any of Jan's tours
We had a fabulous trip around the Tamar Valley with Jan. He had an extensive knowledge of the region and the wines that were being tasted. The trip was made more enjoyable by his sense of humour and great commentary. He took us to small boutique wineries that we would have otherwise not gone to or known about. At these places we sampled numerous fabulous wines and met the winemakers. While there the winemakers were able to share their stories with us - what a unique experience! We ended up coming home with 12 bottles of wine and some gin - very happy with the day, the tour, the wines and the company! Thank you Jan, we will be back :
Wow, what a fantastic day! We booked a private full day wine tour with Tamar Valley Food & Wine Boutique Tours and were delighted the moment we met our guide Jan. It was myself and my husband and our 3 children, and Jan was so welcoming and engaging the moment we met him. We had been worried taking the kids along that they might get a little bored, but Jan was so entertaining and kept the kids very amused all day! Aside from how amazing our guide was, we visited some amazing boutique wineries, tasted beautiful wines, which we were served in most of the places by the owners themselves, and ate yummy food! We learnt so much on our tour! We have been on wine tours before and to Cellar Doors, but Jan really was an amazing wealth of knowledge on all things wine, and a lot of other topics too!! We had plenty of quizzes all day and my kids even brushed up on their times tables thanks to Jan. Oh and got to pat an echidna we saw along the way. Do yourself a favour a book one of these fabulous tours. We started the day off with a guide and ended it with a friend, and we had an amazing wine experience along the way!!
