Absolutely appalling experience! We took our car for a computer scan to understand why it was misfiring. The computer scan and diagnostic was quoted for $50.00 and we ended up paying $184.00. We clearly requested them not to do any work on the vehicle without informing us first. We only asked to know what is the issue as we suspected the car needed spark plugs. We kept calling the service centre asking for an update and they kept saying we don't know yet we will let you know. We were never informed that they are doing 2 hours of labour which is the result of $184.00. When asked why they didn't inform us, they said they would spend as much time it takes them to find out the issue and the customer has to just pay for it. We requested a list of the work they did and apparently they needed to build a test kit to check the fuel pressure for our car model. They also mentioned they had to google the information as they didn't know about our car specs. So I literally paid money for someone to google the fault. My question is if they didn't have the necessary equipment and the expertise to diagnose the fault, why did they keep on trying rather than asking us to take it somewhere else more equipped. The owner was absolutely disrespectful. He kept saying if you don't want to pay for 2 hours i will charge you for 3 hours and a half. Absolutely unprofessional and disrespectful. We ended up paying the money just to get our car back. This place understand nothing about customer service or even trade ethics. Had we been told it is taking them a long time to diagnose the fault, we would have asked them not to proceed further. The outcome we got out of dealing with Takanini Auto Service is we paid almost $200.00 to be told our car is broken!!!!!!!! Well we already knew that when we dropped it off. Please respect your customers and if you want to insist on diagnosing a fault without having the necessary equipment or experience, please inform your customers before hand and set their expectations right.

Be careful with this Garage and is a rip off.  The Garage over exemplifies efforts carried out without any explanation, have to press staff to be able to get a written explanation of work carried out to justify work carried out. When challenging on cost they become very defensive, and in this case treated my wife extremely poorly (loud tone of voice  / stand over tactics). Recommend going elsewhere if you wish to have polite and concise service.

TERRIBLE! They screwed everything up! Because they think I have no knowledge because I am female they tried to take advantage of that. I gave them specifications for my wheel alignment which they failed to comply with and now my car pulls hard to the left. Also when I rung them to say that it was pulling to the left they said "oh yea by the way you need to replace the control arm and rare bush and modify strut" which they should of told me before they failed to do the alignment of my specification. So then they tried to charge me $527 for those parts which I do not need as that's why I made those specifications which they failed to do so because what do I know I'm just a "dumb female". They offered for me to pay that and for them to redo the alignment and i said i would get back to them and havnt bothered to as it is stressful and i know they will screw it up again. My brakes also have way too much air in them and the tyres werent put on properly. The only thing they did properly was the rotors. What a waste of $952. NOT RECOMMENDED. Also the lady on the phone Kelly was rude when I asked for a quote then the next time I rang she was very polite which just shows that when she is in a bad mood it effects her work which is totally unprofessional. I am going to write a letter to the automotive department as this place needs to be shut down. Little do they know I know someone very close to me who use to work there and as soon as he left your business went downhill because you tried to take advantage of him. Yes I know more then you think Takanini Auto Service and will do what I can to shut your company down so other people do NOT get taken advantage of.

Compliance took 2 months, they billed me $1,151 instead of 320, they said they repaired it and some engineering fee, it's a ripped off, I dont recommend this garage.
