Don't waste your money on the mangos. Very disappointing to pay for something you can't eat. I cant remember price. Maybe 2 dollars each? Looked fine on the outside. Disappointed. Save money and buy elsewhere so that you can at least eat.
I saw Facebook pop-up. Listed items on sales are all attractive. Some ugly fruits and veggies but still good quality and excellent value for money. Surprisingly, I can see fresh meet from butcher and amazing value. They have bigger package, it's OK I can manage it.
Was shortchanged miscounted on several items today. Bought some smoked fish. In the docket it was $24.99 as “open veggies” and $23.99 on the shelf. Also bought “oven backed roast pork” roasted pork at $4.99/kilo. In the docket it was “roasted pork belly 4 kg” @ $23.99. Be warned and check your dockets.
Prices are economical but The shopping experience is going bad and bad these days. The veggies bought from here tends go bad really soon, same with fruits and garlics. I did buy garlic for the 2nd time in a row and all of them were not eatable. Same with potatoes, and others. Never this coincidence while shopping at any other other place. I was hesitant to write this review but it's consistently bad. Heads up to all other customers, if you see any special thing, please please check the expire date or best before date on it. A lot of products will be beyond their best before date and when bringing it up to their staffs attention, the reply I got was they were aware of it and they say, there are list of items which is okay to consume even after the best before date so thats the reason they were still selling them. This is also something you don't see with other stores. And generally as well, please check the expire date on all of the products here. Perfect example of "you get what you pay for". Never again though.
I was checking out with loads of stuff I got a bit overexcited by the imported European sweets!. The staff gave me some spare boxes for packing. On the way out I dropped everything, my boxes and shopping slid down and everything went all over the floor in front of the checkout !!. The staff were super helpful, helped me put everything back together and even brought me a replacement for one item I'd broken. I thought that went above and beyond. Thanks! Aside from that, fresh veggies and meat are well priced with some rarer cuts of meat and "weird" looking veggies. Good selection of foreign imported goods Eastern European, Mediterranean, and Asian.
Lovely friendly helpful staff, how refreshing. The lady in the butcher shop couldn't do enough to help me with my request for a cut of meat I was looking for. Checkout ladies just wonderful Good job, you must have a wonderful manager as happy staff come from good managers Well Done 5 stars
I have shopped at TBones for years, prices used to be good. However, unfortunately, times have changed, now they have 1 or 2 loss leader products just to get folks in the door and rest of the goods are overpriced and expensive. They also have decided to stock loads of other merchandise.. I guess the bigger the shop gets the more costs, time to re-think your strategy and go back to what it was that made your shop attractive to customers previously, aka good value fruits and vegetables. Time to shop elsewhere.. goodbye Tbones.
Not worth the trip! 80-90% of the cheap produce was off, squishy & bruised... you could even smell it! Everything else was more expensive or same pricing as the supermarket. Products out of date!! I saw 3 items, but there's probably so much more! So if you go, check the dates on everything! They have a lot of random interesting things, but not worth it if it's out of date! Expected to buy heaps, but only walked out with sweet potatos lol Staff member who served us was really friendly, so that sazgood at least. PARKING: undercover in parking lot under the building.
You may think it is a good deal, but- Raspberries were in very poor condition when we brought them home Grapes tasted weird Some avocados were physically damaged. We broke open a coconut at home and found it was spoilt Some of the fruit and veg is actually not fit to be sold.
A fine place to shop for ethnic food and interesting cuts of meat and fish. I was very pleased to discover this place. I had no idea it existed and it is, perhaps, ten minutes from my home. Anyway, as I have expanded my culinary horizons I have come to need a place like this. It is strong in the food of - India Mexico Turkey “Asia” And has a good deal of vegetables and fruits I was unfamiliar with. The dry goods should be checked for expiry dates - some were perilously close - but generally speaking well within time. Can be a bit overwhelming if you don’t have a clear plan, but if you do! Very fine.
