Well done to the organisers and people involved to bring us the Easter show. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Went extra early and really enjoyed the exhibitions, rides, food and above all the show bags!!! A fun day for the family.
Went to the Easter Show with my family this year, which turned out to be super drained and exhaustive day BUT it definitely a GREAT FUN, especially for the little one!!! It's all typical different food stalls, performance, grand parade, the woolie dome with tons of foods, all the rides, roller coaster, bumper rides that we all miss. I do reckon the final performance at the show ground with the fire works display is definitely by far the best compared to the past Easter show. Firework seemed never end.
Finally back to the Easter Show after 2 years. There's lots to see and do and a definite must for the little ones. The first day of the show was very busy with lots of school excursion. The street parade is a great addition to the show and makes the show from good to great.
We were not sure if we should go to the Easter show at the showground, but was a great decision. We spent our whole day there and had a lot of fun. Don't really recommend the food as much but the exhibitions and end of night show were spectacular.
Perhaps busiest during the Easter Show , which is a fabulously fun but expensive experience. Of course the vendors vary by year, but expect a selection of interesting things on a stick. The showground gets crowded, but I've rarely had to queue for a toilet, which I consider quite a triumph! The rides at current work with a credit card-like card with a QR code. It's easy to blow a lot of money, fast. Aim to visit on a day with a deal if you're a keen rider. Animals are where it's at! Get up close to all your faves. There are heaps of 'do not touch signs', so head to the areas where a meet & greet is encouraged. Don't miss the wood chopping competition! If you need a rest, head for the area near the Olympic cauldron. There is a kid's playground and lots of benches/picnic tables closer to the Food Dome. Enjoy!
Good as always. Came at 10.40am, the queue was pretty long but it didn’t take long to get to the entrance. Better bring your own water, picnic food, wet napkins or tissue, hand sanitizer , mask and your own big bag to carry your shopping if needed. So much food, things to buy and to see here. It’s always expensive to get in to easter show. But you could spend your whole Day here eating , playing games and shopping while waiting for the firework show at 7pm. It’s all cashless here, i tried so many food and bought things that are cheaper than outside the show. Make sure do the raincheck before coming. It’s hard to find rubbish bin or toilet, but it’s better to go to the one in the flower area.
August 2022. Seated in Section 202 Row A to watch AFL. We got a fair bit of the afternoon winter sun but it was quite nice on a cold day. Great seating from anywhere as the ground is much smaller than the larger ANZ stadium and other larger venues. The alcohol is all overpriced and mid strength, but where isn’t it at sporting events these days. Olympic Park is very accessible by public transport and parking is usually capped at a maximum of $30 per day. Would definitely recommend attending a sporting venue here.
The area also hosts the annual Royal Easter Show. One if Sydney’s great institutions, now 200 years old. Though a little expensive what is not in Sydney? it’s a great day out for adults and kids and a very city accessible way to have a glimpse into Australian rural lifestyles. If you don’t get into the country - the real Australia - then this is your easiest option.
Very cool place. Wanted to go here for a long time, finally got to with Carlton versus Giants. Honestly a little bit buggy, some of the TV screens were stuffing up or not working, and there was only one working megaphone on one side of the oval, so the moodsetter was very lame as a result. Honestly moodsetters are always lame unless there's a huge crowd, which there definitely was not today. Also I'm not sure why the seats at one end of the stadium only go up one set instead of the three sets nearly everywhere else: possibly to make room for the unnecessarily gigantic tv screen? I don't know. Honestly I would recommend this place, can't give it five stars coz it's no MCG or Marvel, and it lost another star for not being in tip-top form.
Royal Easter Show was awesome, great variety of rides for all ages, lots of food choices and prices were reasonable except for beer which was almost $10 per can
