We had an enjoyable lunch. It was pretty good value. The lemon meringue pie was amazing. The view is obviously up there! The only feedback is it'd be nicer if we don't have a plastic container for the sauces. It kinda ruin the overall presentation and experience. Just the extra few dollars of little saucers would have made the huge difference.
I've been coming here for years. Sydney Rowing Club is one of my fave spots in Sydney to chill or relax with family and friends for drinks or a meal. The staff are great, the atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, and the views are spectacular on a sunny day. Parking can be an issue on weekends and peak times but not as busy on week days.
Incredible food, views and atmosphere make this a "must go" in Sydney. Our table had both the hot and cold seafood plates as well as many of their signature cocktails from the bar. Try the "Summer Cobbler" and be prepared for heaven. I also ordered an "Old Fashioned" with Makers Mark and it was nothing short of perfect. Spent the afternoon here and cant wait to do it all over again!
Beautiful spot with an upmarket but relaxed feel. The service at the bar was great and the food was quite tasty too. Food service was also quite speedy. Would definitely recommend checking this place out for a spot to eat during the week at lunchtime, when it's not overly busy. The buttermilk chicken was absolutely delicious.
Family friendly restaurant. Parking is convenient and such a good location with view. Good selection of food and deserts + drinks of course. Good for birthday parties and functions too.
The view here is beautiful, you can't beat it really. The outside area is well set up with a sensational canapy just the right height to shield the sun and open out this brilliant view. The food, however, was not so great today. We waited over 45 minutes for three salads, they were small, dry and not appealing, my Ceasar salad was a very small serving and cost $21 with no extras, invisible bacon and light on dressing. The prawn salad was a bowl of white vermicelli noodles with a couple of sad looking prawns on-top, no dressing oops guess the kitchen is busy, where is the salad in this dish I wondered. Other people ordered deep fried fish, chicken, lots of chips and that looks like the club grub they do best. Hard to get chips and deep fried food wrong, it's the right location for it. Still, I thought it was expensive. You pay at the counter so there is no table service but we waited an hour after eating to get our plates cleared in the end we went and ordered coffee, which was $9 for two luke warm cups of pretty ordinary coffee. Lots of nice cakes but $4.80 for a shortbread biscuit, and only one gluten free option. The place was pretty busy and as there was noone really free to clear plates people's left over food was getting attacked by birds which flew through the restaurant. The people servering at the counter, bar and at sign in were pleasant, and efficient. Parking not so easy, there is a carpark but it was very full, but you can get a bus or ferry easily enough which would be great. Wheelchair accessible, it ticks a lot of boxes. Mixed experience, I'd go again at a different time of day.
Such a beautiful place to eat and drink. Calm and peaceful. They might get quite busy on weekend though. Nice food and loved the cake and tea too highly recommend for any group of people
Excellent. Great location, prompt service and tables not squashed. Meals from burgers to sea food platters, something for everyone.
I regularly visit this venue and have always been happy with the friendly service, enjoyable food and stunning setting. However, today was a surprising disappointment. We brought an interstate visitor here for lunch. It was an embarrassing experience. I think it might be time for new choices on the menu. A table near us sat with food and plates from previous customers for a long time. When a waiter passed us I asked about something on the menu. He replied he was from the bar and couldn't help. I'd have to ask someone who was serving food. We ordered our drinks at the bar with a very grumpy young barman. Short and abrupt service with no interaction. I have never experienced such indifference from any staff here. When ordering desserts at the counter the woman was not at all friendly. We had 2 separate orders for a particular dessert and after paying for both watched the second last one be sold to someone else. When I brought it to the attention all I got was a cursory 'sorry'. The only person who greeted us with a smile was the lovely receptionist and she was just as pleasant when we left. I thanked her and explained she was the only cheerful person we had experienced.
Simple menu, good selection of wines, reasonably priced. Great location, great views. You can catch the river cat to the club. 20min from Parramatta. Which would be an hour in traffic. It has a split level bar reaching towards the waterway, which is really good in summertime. If you like a quit spot that's not to far out of the way to have drink and some food and relax.. then this place could be a destination for you..
