The best fish market I ever been to. The food is just amazingly fresh and delicious. $10 parking for the day is great for customers in that part of town. However I think the food prices are overpriced as the place more feels like a visitors’ attraction.
First thing to acknowledge about the market, is it is an operating industrial place to visit. Put that aside, and you'll experience fantastic fresh seafood. Every species and cooked in different ways. A great place to lunch and take in the speedy atmosphere...
The Sydney Fish market is definitely a place to visit when in Sydney.nnBeautiful fresh seafood. I haven't been for years and even though the place looks exactly the same on the outside, the finesse of the offered bite sized mini meals has improved greatly.nnThe usual charm of flocks of seagulls aiming to steal your food is still there with some pelicans around to admire.nnI think there could be a lot more that could be done for the premises look and feel that would attract a lot more visitors like they have done in Madrid markets for example.nnOverall a great culinary experience and cultural experience to have.
A must visit place in Sydney if you love fresh seafood! This market offers you affordable fresh seafood at cheaper price compared to normal restaurants. Fresh oysters is a must try and don’t leave without trying their scallops and fresh shrimps. An open space with seating area is provided outside the market where you can enjoy your food. Just be careful with the seagulls, they snatch food! Always go early to get the best seafood.
I love to come here occasionally, make the most by having the most fresh sea food of Australia. Watching the se food display it’s a joy for your eyes. Plenty of choices, large range. If you come to Sydney as tourist, you must plan a pit stop here. You will not regret.
