The previous time I visited this Sweetlips I would have given it six stars if available but that was mid afternoon; mid-week and I and my companion were the only two eating! This time I went late afternoon on a Friday and the service was similar to before very friendly and polite customer service manners but the food was definitely compromised by their busyness with other customers. The chips were average and the fish was not well drained of grease. But for $20 with the now regular Groupon voucher it was worth the time and effort to get across town for this bargain seafood basket. I'm fussy, so check it out for yourself!
A place you can enjoy decent fish and chips. We always passed by this shop when visiting Harvest Bakery next door and see a few people having lunch there. Ordered seafood family plate and it was a great serving, not too greasy. I think there was no salt added so you may want to purchase additional tartar sauce.
I have to say the service here was outstanding and the food turned up on time. We used a Scoopon voucher and got a large meal for $25 excellent value for money. The chips and Calamari rings weren't all that good but we still polished them off. The fish was nothing shy of perfect!!! Fresh fruit was from the store 3 doors down but really complimented the meal.
Ordered the Whitting which was not too shabby. Din like the fries which I feel were sub standard. Prefer it to be fried a tad crispier.
Very fresh fish very tasty you get what you pay for the snapper for a serve was 22 dollars... I'm.very fussy and hate fishy tasting fish this was amazing... you can sit down or take away

Best fish and chips I’ve ever had. I’m from interstate and I make a point to come here every time I’m over it’s that good. Crispy thin batter, beautiful fresh fish, fresh oil, quality chips, massive serve. Family feast had 7 decent sized pieces of fish- fed our family of seven and everyone was well filled- and we’ve got teenaged boys so that’s saying something. Yummo!
Place is quite clean & tidy. Service is considered pretty prompt & good considering they are constantly busy with customers. Personally the food is considered average by my standard. Good for the price paid using Groupon but nothing overwhelming. Frankly will not consider if paying for full price. Didn't feel value for money.
Our usual spot when you have a fix for some battered fish, chips, scallops... it is a small shop, and tucked away in the suburbs, not much to look at, but it is convenient if you live in the area and the food is pretty good. We used the Groupon deal during our recent visit and the seafood baskets are good value. The prawns and squid are probably the stand outs, and is it just me or are the scallops getting smaller in size?
Very tasty. It is a little bit more expensive than the average fish and chip shop, but not hugely and realistically the quality is well worth it. Came here on a whim and very happy for the experience. UK visitors very impressed and haven't shut up yet about how much they enjoyed it! Clean plates say it all.
