I was very excited about ordering a cake here after a friend recommended fair prices and they had done well for her sister so I thought they could do well for my brother. I came in with a photo of the cake and there were 2 ladies serving one was new and she was unsure of protocol's which is fair enough and the other lady I guess was the pro and she was busy serving other customers. Again that is fair enough other customers need to be served. So they asked me what I wanted and I showed them a photo and I asked if I could SMS it to the girl's phone to which she replied "No I am not comfortable with people knowing my number!" So I understood and they filled out a pink form for me that I was to use upon collection. I was not given any business card with the email address that I would need to send this one simple photo or a mobile number they said somebody would call me with the email address that I needed so the next day I had a missed call from them so I called them back and the guy on the phone gave me the email address and it was so so long so I had to ensure that I had it right. So at last I was able to send the picture to the very long email. I'm still unsure if it was even sent correctly either way the day rolls around and I arrive with my pink paper and nobody knows where to find the cake I wanted. After waiting for a bit the guy at the counter quite apologetically insists that I was called "yesterday" about the situation. I had no voice messages that were left not ONE!! They did not contact me through email at ALL and they said they were unsure what symbol was to go on the cake. Is it really that difficult to understand "Transformers" symbol any chimpanzee with internet could have found it. Either way I was not offered a refund until I said I wanted it. Only later when my sister called did they claim that I was apparently called from Thursday to the Saturday? Why then did I not get a voice message? I'm stumped. I do not recommend using this place for your cakes. The manner in which one needs to send through their pictures is stupid and ridiculous. If you decide to use their services demand an email in printed form and a mobile number and maybe even a USB and a giant poster just so they have ALL the details. Maybe also mail it through and send it to each one of the staff members so it does not fall back on you!
Terrible customer service! I ordered and paid for a cake, told the staff I would come back in 10 mins to pick it up after I went to finish an errand. Came back... where's the cake???? the guys looking for it...asked the girl..who snarls back at him.."I didn't touch it"..."I said I didn't touch it!"..guess I'm invisible .as I'm talking to the both of them..no ones talking to me!! .The guy goes back into the storeroom an appears about 5 mins later to inform me that they can't find the cake .. it was given to someone else by mistake!.. this is the second time this has happened at the same store within 10 months to me. On top of all of this , they offered me another cake which is not the one I wanted and still charged me... and no "sorry".....shocking service.... I'm in customer service myself and this had happened in my store the customer would have been compensated and apologised to . I will not be going back to this store ever again and will not recommend you.
Extremely rude and arrogant staff. They back flipped on their own quoted price for a cake which on the time of ordering the guy had the audacity to argue and blatantly make it seem it was my fault for getting the wrong quote. I strongly suggest anyone to really think hard before ordering anything from these guys.
Great coffee. Fantastic service.
