Story

Both the Swan Lounge and the Swan Basement run live bands every Friday, Saturday and Sunday night. It hosts a variety of genres of music including indie, punk, folk, metal, hardcore, alternate and more. Our stage always welcomes young up and coming acts.

A classic old school Aussie pub, and a great vibe in the basement. Just need to have a better selection of tap beers. The days of boring Aussie beers only are long gone now thankfully !

I like this hotel because it brings back memories of my counter lunch and a shandy when I first started work as a 17 year old at long gone Wool Exporters. A little bit of history this hotel opened in 1888 the same year as the Jack the ripper murders in Whitechapel.

Its a touch dodgy, but we all knew that before coming here. Like their cousins the railway down the road, things could be improved, but why bother.
literally all staff is so nice and down for a convo. when events are on its a complete vibe and i love the fact its one of the only traditional pubs left around north freo... other than railway hotel. thats pretty sick as as well.
always great local service.
