Really good food, just with smaller portions than expected. Sauces were excellent - thick and flavoursome instead of watery/oily. That's always something I prefer with Indian/Sri Lankan. Lovely service; the restaurant is pretty small and from the outside it almost looks like a take away which is deceiving. This also gives it a very intimate feel, which is great for 2 on a date : Prices are fine, not too expensive. You do have to walk through the kitchen to get to the toilet, which is a thing. Recommend the Vindaloo
I’ve only moved to the area in the last year and after seeing multiple great reviews of this place on social media I thought I would try it. The food was amazing, best butter chicken I have tasted in a very long time and I also tried something different in the chilli garlic prawns and also potato eggplant curry as I am trying to eat less meat. Everything was delicious and I can’t wait to order it again. I would rate this as some of the best Indian food I have ever tasted. If you want great Indian food look no further than this place!

Best curry house in Melbourne. Coming from the UK and being used to consistently good curries, I've always been quite disappointed with Indian restaurants in Melbourne. Swaad, however, is delicious. Every curry tastes different and I like being able to choose the spice level. Would really recommend this place for your Saturday night take away.
We’ve gone to Swaad many times for takeaway and have been super impressed with the food every time. Last night we dined in for the first time to celebrate my mum’s birthday and, again, the food was top notch. We were absolutely delighted with the service and care shown by the staff who went over and above to make my mum’s birthday a special occasion Highly recommend!!!

Having eaten at all the best Indian restaurants in Melbourne, I would say Sawaad’s food was the finest. Every dish had its unique taste. The ingredients used were fresh and top quality. Brought my extended fussy Indian family and every one of them raved about the favours. Will be back as often as possible. The owner I think it was the owner was friendly and welcoming. Thank you for an excellent dining experience.

We visited Swaad restaurant yesterday and had a delightful experience. The starters were unique and tasty especially the pakoda. Garlic Rotis were awesome as well. The only thing they can get better at is the time they take to cook / serve.
