Story

A.G. Mohan, with his wife, Indra, originated the Svastha organisation to faithfully transmit the teachings of Sri T. Krishnamacharya. For more on Svastha, please visit www.svastha.net.

The legendary 20th century yoga, Sri T. Krishnamacharya – a master of yoga, scholar of all Indian philosophies and a healer of repute, was undoubtedly the greatest influence on yoga in modern times. Paula Carey has been practising yoga since 1994 and teaching on the Gold Coast since 2000 (IYTA qualified).

Since 2013 Paula has continued her learning in Yoga practice, philosophy and Ayurveda through Svastha Yoga, mentored and supported by Vina Shah (a long-time personal student of the Mohans) of Svastha Yoga & Ayurveda Australia www.svastha.com.au

Paula's studies in Yoga Therapy continue with Ganesh Mohan; and in yogic mindfulness and philosophy with A.G. Mohan and Indra Mohan on their annual visits to Australia.

Paula offers small group yoga classes combining asana (postures) or movements with proper breathing to develop awareness and promote good health and balance. Classes may also include seated breathing and meditation.

Individual sessions are offered for developing your own personal practice and gaining an understanding of Ayurvedic nutrition and lifestyle.

Workshops are periodically presented covering topics such as yoga philosophy, pranayama, meditation and the principles of Ayurveda as it relates to lifestyle and food.
