Our experience at Sutherland Volkswagen today was outstanding. Ruby Matic was incredibly helpful from start to finish. She guided us through a test drive, thoroughly explained the specs and features, and offered us a fantastic price, so we bought the car we wanted right then and there. Avoid This Dealer for Your Own Benefit!nnI purchased a brand-new Passat with only 2 kilometers on the odometer from the salesperson, Sabrina. However, after a few days of driving, I noticed an unusual amount of wind noise and creaking from the sunroof and driver's side.nnConcerned, I took the car to my local Volkswagen dealership Liverpool Volkswagen to understand what had happened. They identified additional issues, such as the driver's side airbag trim piece being out of place, the rear door seal being incorrectly installed, and rust on the bolts holding the driver's side rear door. This surprised me, as the bolt should not have been rusted on a new vehicle unless it had been removed, likely due to cracked paint from tool usage, indicating possible prior damage from an accident.nnI returned to the dealership where I purchased the car Sutherland Volkswagen seeking answers. Despite waiting and being promised a response, they failed to provide any meaningful assistance. Frustrated by their lack of action, I pursued resolution through NCAT NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal to address the injustice and apparent fraud committed by the dealer.nnUnfortunately, the court ruled in favor of the dealer, claiming these issues were typical due to mass production and covered under warranty. However, over one and a half years later, I am still waiting for a resolution. Despite my repeated attempts for four months to contact the dealer for promised repairs, they continued to ignore my requests. I visited two other Volkswagen dealerships, and both stated that the rust on the bolts are not a warranty concern and cannot be fixed free of charge.nnDisheartened by this experience, I am once again preparing to seek resolution through NCAT. I am deeply dissatisfied with the quality of service and caution others to avoid this dealer to prevent similar frustrations, as well as wasted time and money.
