The sushi is the cheapest takeaway priced in Westfield, that's why they opened another store just opposite the Hurstville station exit on Forest Rd. The sushi is consistently good tasting, very popular because of it's price and variety, there are no issues with freshness of the food. The salmon sashimi is almost always out of stock as they get sold quicker than they are prepared, they also need to fill food delivery app orders too, BUT they will prepare it for you if you ask and are willing to wait about <10min so this is good service imo. If you cannot wait, I suggest getting your sashimi from the sushi hub outside Westfield, those guys don't seem to be running out of stock nearly as quickly. Picture of edamame container with pen on lid for size reference. About 32 whole beans between 1-3 pods ea, not salted, $4.80 container. They do food delivery apps and their own website has an order page. Vegetarian options: Edamame, seaweed sushi roll, etc. Kid-friendliness: The pay counter is low enough for a 10 year old to pay. Parking: Park in Westfield
Without a doubt the best takeaway sushi in Hurstville. Fresh, high quality cuts of seafood and a large selection on their menu.
Really fresh and best sushi rice, great valueFood: 4/5
Terrible experience. I bought a sashimi tray and sat down to eat, the attendant told me that I could only sit if I consumed a dish from the sushi train. I said no problem and asked what is the cost for the seat service. she informed that it is $3 or that I should eat some dish. So I chose a dish. The manager Leo called her behind the bar and said something, the attendant returned to me and said that for one dish I would still be charged the fee and that in fact I should consume 3 dishes or leave the establishment. So disappointed with this terrible service.
Fresh clean & they sell tuna inari which for some reason many other sushi hubs don't.Food: 5/5
A friend of mine was told she couldn't take the seat given she got the takeaway even if all seats were empty. That's appaling. They were failing to show any kindness.
Always fresh sushi, we love it and keep going back for more. Vegetarian options: They make a yummy tempura veggie roll Parking: If less than 3hrs it's free Wheelchair accessibility: It's in a shopping centre so there is definitely wheelchair access
I ordered two undon noodle soups and asked for no meat. Totalling over $17.00. A sign clearly states any dish over $16.00 purchased receive one cup of miso soup free. The lady running the register told me it's only if I purchase individual sushi orders. Hmmm. As I got home I noticed both udon dishes were missing tofu so I returned and showed the chef the photo on the display menu and compared it to the dish he made to see the difference. Just not a great experience as a customer personally. The udon was just filled with msg as my face started to look like a blowfish Just isn't the authentic Japanese style cooking that I'm use to eating. Terrible and embarrassing experience.
Yummy & fresh sushi! Really liked the grilled scallops & unagi eel.
Message to management: Long time loyal customer here but today 20/3/22 had a very bad customer service experience. During the lunch time peak hour 12:00pm, we were served by one of the male kitchen staff who stepped in to help the counter staff. This guy should stick to the kitchen work as he has zero customer service experience. He was getting the order wrong, and kept raising his voice shouting-like to my wife. You should either train this guy how to serve customers or don't bother at all as he would end up causing upset customers to not return. We always love the quality of the sushi at this branch, but this experience has really put us off. Management : please acknowledge this feedback and do something about it. I am only writing this review so you are aware and hopefully can do something to address this.
