Another option for sushi train type in Sydney. I came in at around 5pm on a Friday and it wasn’t that busy. We got ourselves the seats on the belt table and started digging in. They have a range of sushi, nigiri and other hot foods available for order in the menu. Sushi is good but didn’t like the salmon that much. Seems a bit cold but at least there wasn’t any weird taste to it. Cheap price ranging from $3.5 to $9.0 per plate and we paid $30 for 2ppl which was quite nice.
K’s Sushie is located a few stores from the famous ice Kiran bar. My first impression of the restaurant wasn’t exciting, but the food wasn’t bad either. The layout of the restaurant consists of a few tables that seat up to 12 people and the rest around the sushi train with a maximum capacity of 30 people. The interior is simple with hardly any Japanese decor compared to other Japanese restaurants with bamboo interiors. The only thing I enjoyed was sitting around the train with the chefs in front me and seeing how sushi is made was quite entertaining. The menu actually has a lot to offer but by order only. Don’t expect to see everything from the menu appear on the train because you won’t! Surprisingly the train was quite empty and the chef was unable to keep up with the demand as more customers started coming through the doors. Also ordered sushi rolls took a very long time to be served. The positives for K’s sushi were the quality, freshness and price of each dish. I don’t think you’ll find a cheaper sushi train around in Burwood that taste good and affordable.
Actually not a bad place for sushi. Avoid the wagyu carpaccio, but every other dish was very much appreciable.Food: 5/5
Found this lovely restaurant while walking around the area. We were seated by the conveyor belt near the entrance. Food was freshly made & staffs were friendly. Ordered some food from menu, waited about 20 minutes reasonable waiting time . Food came hot & made from scratch as you can see them in the kitchen doing it. Recommend improvement to be made by having more variety on the conveyor belt. Definitely coming back again Happy stomach, happy us. Price is reasonable as well.
K’s Sushi food is really nice. They don’t seem to have as many varieties on the train as they used to before like tempura or fried chicken however you can order these. They just celebrated 21 years in business so must be doing ok. Friendly staff and overall a nice family friendly place. Suggest you phone to reserve seats as the queue can be long at times.
Have been here a lot including order for pickup. When it’s quiet and since Covid more frequently they have less variety on the train but will make anything to order quite quickly. Quality & consistency is good & service from the regular staff is good. Party platters are good for birthday parties / family gatherings at home.
The best Sushi in Burwood. Always fresh and always tastes amazing. We decided to get some Ramen as well today and it was fantastic. Service is quick and never waiting more than you should be
Tasty, Highly Affordable, Many vegan options avail. also. Ramen, rice/-don, and other menu avail. My family is a regular and local customer for delivery as well. Servers are good also. This local shop has been a fav. Japanese shop from the locals for long time. It has A/C, a few car park spot for pick up purpose at the back alley also. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian or Vegan option available.
I would never recommend this place to anyone. I walked in here with my family & was disappointed within the first 5 minutes. We asked the lady to wipe down our table & she wiped one spot which was dirty- i then had to physically grab the wipe and wipe my own table myself as she just left & did not wipe it properly. There was 1-5 plates on the sushi train which was seaweed & cold edamame which looked like it was sitting there for hours. We then ordered about 6 plates to our table & were waiting for more than 30 minutes. I asked one of the waitresses how much longer we were going to wait for & she had said 10 more minutes. 10 minutes had gone by & we still didn’t have any food on table but many other people around us came into the restaurant after us & had already received there food which was really disappointing. We were very hungry & decided we weren’t waiting anymore which led us to decide to leave. It was very unorganised, dirty & the staff were running around like they didn’t know what they were doing. Really disappointed. Never again.
Saddest sushi train I've sat on. Barely anything on the belt aside from lotus root chips and edamame for over 40 minutes and probably longer. Why operate the train if food must be ordered? It just confuses everybody and just makes them sit solemnly sipping water. And if you're making single rolls or plates to order, why not make an extra set to populate the conveyor belt? At least the food was decent when it was available. Unfortunately, the service also forgot parts of our order and we were left waiting for 25 minutes and had to leave hungry. Very disappointing start to the new year.
