I am writing this as a warning based on a very disappointing and upsetting experience at Supercheap Auto.nnI work at a nearby automotive workshop and visit this store almost every day. Until today, I have generally had good experiences with the staff, who are usually friendly and helpful. However, today I was treated extremely poorly by a person who identified himself as the manager.nnDespite there being nearly one hour left before closing, I was told that they “could not do it today” and refused to make paint for me. I know for a fact that paint mixing is normally available at this time, as I have had paint made here many times in the past during the same time period.nnWhat made this situation even more uncomfortable was that other staff members appeared sympathetic and seemed to understand that this refusal was unreasonable. It was very clear that this issue was not store policy, but the personal decision of this particular manager.nnAs an Asian customer, I could not help but feel that I was treated differently and unfairly. I was there on behalf of my customer, and because this simple 5-minute task was refused, I had to apologise to my customer and compensate them out of my own pocket. This caused real financial loss and damaged my professional credibility, despite my long-standing relationship with this store.nnBecause of this experience, I will be changing suppliers and will no longer be using this store.nI strongly advise Asian customers, and trade customers in general, to be cautious when dealing with management here.nnVery disappointing experience.
I don't usually leave reviews however the service I received today was outstanding. I needed a replacement headlight globe for my Mazda3 . Jarvin was polite and courteous whilst explaining the best replacement and then replaced the globe for me. He was very professional and knowledgable.
Five-star review for Supercheap Auto at Nerang.nI came in about ten minutes before closing, fully expecting the usual rushed energy, but the team was the opposite. One of the younger guys at the front counter jumped straight in to help me find the correct light bulb for my Mazda3. When I wanted to double-check whether my old bulb was actually faulty, another staff member didn’t hesitate. He pulled out a tester on the spot, checked it properly, found the loop issue, and clearly explained what was wrong.nWhat really impressed me wasn’t just the help, but how he explained it to his coworker at the same time. It wasn’t condescending, rushed, or the old-school apprentice treatment. He showed him practically what to look for, what the reading meant, and why it mattered. You could tell this kid has mastered how to share knowledge properly, not just bark instructions.nThat kind of culture doesn’t happen by accident. It says a lot about how management has put this team together. In the rain, near closing time, and still delivering calm, respectful, competent service. This crew is a credit to the store and feels like the future of the brand.nRespect to the Nerang Supercheap Auto team and their management. You’re doing something right.
I received excellent service from Shane when I called into the Nerang store on Saturday. I needed to replace the wheels on a trolley I purchased from Supercheap Autos about 10 years ago. Shane suggested it would probably be a better option if I purchased a whole new trolley, as opposed to replacing the wheels. This made good sense, especially as I had a $10 credit on my account to use. Shane asked me if I would like him to fit the axel and wheels, which was most appreciated. Plus he pumped the tyres for me. Brilliant service from Shane. I have been served by Shane on previous visits to the store, and he is always very friendly and helpful.
As a temporarily disabled stroke survivor I am not as savvy as I once was but entering this store yesterday and being greeted by gorgeous Jordan and assiste by Ryan completely banded my weekend to receive such compassion and assistance from these beautiful young beings made my soul smile you cannot teach what these two have and that is brilliant human communication which is wonderful at such a young age is truly beautiful to witness they k we’re knowledgeable great sense of humour just an absolute assert to the business I will not need to find another store for car needs Jordan and Ryan’s genuine customer service has won me over and I am afraid anything less than their standard simply won’t get my business thank you Jordan and Ryan for ending my weekend off on a truly lovely note enjoy your week x o
