Their warranties are worthless. The store manager Kurt did not honour a store credit I was given by their customer service. They do not want a to give me a replacement for my broken chair because now the same chair costs more. I was asked to pay the balance in price for a replacement. Amart is a budget option, so I understand that after reading this you may still buy from them. But be aware they try to trick you out of warranty claims. I have filed a formal complaint to Fair Trading.
Pushy and abrupt sales staff. Pounce on you as soon as you walk in store and speak so fast you can’t even understand them and follow you around the store commenting on every single item you look at to the point of critiquing the angle I placed I put a cushion on a lounge! Delivery also a complete stuff up. The store manager did refund our delivery fee after speaking to three other people.
I have to write down my experiences with Amart online shop, I can't find the online one, so write down here, they belongs to Amart company anyway. I bought a coffee table at the online shop on the 24th December and ordered delivery to Pallara. I received the email ,told me, it had been picked up by delivery on 28th and I will receive it on 30th. I hadn't received it until 3rd January. I contacted the delivery company twice, the second time, they let me contact Amart. I called 3 times in 2 weeks. No one can solve this problem. I already moved to goldcoast, don't want the table any more. I called them 4th time on 17th January. Told them i don't want the table now, want refund . They told me I need patient. On 22nd I received another email from Amart said the table will arrive at Pallara on 23rd. I called them again told them again I had moved to robina goldcoast. They said if I wanted refund, need to pick the table and then apply refund. After I pick the table all the way from goldcoast to Brisbane, then back to goldcoast, sent them the email and the photos. They send me a email today said they can't do refund because they delivery it to the place I ordered before. It is the most terrible experience I have ever had no matter on line shopping or shopping in the store. That's the worst service I have ever had. If Google reviews have 0 star, I will give them 0.
Purchased a Barbosa 6 piece wicker outdoor setting, sales was was nice to deal with. Setting was delivered on time. The cushioning was not as comfortable as it could have been for the price. We added extra foam support.
Amart MacGregor has been a huge waste of my time and money. My partner and I purchased an Orthokinetic Mattress from them, we were advised in store and by the customer service team in store and over the phone that with the 180 sleep trial we could try as many of the Orthokinetic mattresses as we liked as long as we collected and returned the items in as new condition. We were also advised we were entitled to a full refund if we still were not happy with the product choice. After 1 mattress swap the story changed and we were told we weren’t able to exchange again nor were we going to be given a refund. I have an email chain of 15 emails between myself and Amart all of which they are trying to fob me off to Sleepeezee for a warranty claim. I have also contacted sleepeezee who have advised because there was no cash exchange to go back to Amart Macgregor… I am not after a warranty claim I’m chasing a FULL refund of the purchase price because they’ve sold me a product that is of unsatisfactory quality. The lack of support leaves both my partner and I waking multiple times a night and both have a sore neck and back. The customer service has been appalling and the story changes constantly. I have lodged a complaint with the ACCC.
Good range of furniture to suit most needs. Maybe I'm just being a bit snobby but it'd be nice if they had some higher end products too. If it weren't for a slightly odd parking situation and desperate need of interior renovation, I'd probably give it four stars.
Once they get your money, the story changes. Was advised 10 weeks for a custom order electric couch. Then received an email advising 16 weeks. When I called the store to change my order they said to come in store within 2-3 days to make any changes. When I went into store they advised they would have a 20% penalty for changes now being the 3rd day, which being an electrical item over $2,000 is against ACCC regulations. I've previously purchased many items from Amart, this is the first time having to make post sale enquires and I would not recommend paying their premium prices as they don't honour Australia Consumer Guarantees or even their own store and staff guarantees.

Excellent store to go to.. Heaps of variety and great specials.. Been shopping there for over 20yrs.. All staff are really helpful and lovely but the stand outs are Kurt and Hayden and Ken.. All so professional and always patient.. Thanks guys for everything over the years.. I highly recommend them and Amart at Macgregor.
Availability of products is always very late, my items got delivered in the span of three months
