Have to give our first born’s tax file number before we get a bottle rental price. JOG ON MUPPETSnWAIT!!!! I have never done a re-review before anywhere; after writing this review and giving one star I went on to find out that in fact EVERY gas supplier had the same thing; NO PRICE, and you have to fill out a form to request a quote! Now I think these sales tactics are pathetic and likely counterintuitive, because many people like myself will just not bother- especially with data breaches being the trend of 2022… where as, if prices were laid out on the website and affordable I would have moved forward with an order.nMy need for BBQ gas bottles outweighed my distaste for filling out forms just to get a ballpark price, so I emailed 3 places; Elgas, Supagas, and another one I don’t remember because they didn’t reply.nnI got an email reply the next day from someone at Elgas, and Toni from Supagas. Elgas’s email was poorly and ambiguously worded in a way that left costs open to interpretation. I emailed back to clarify and got a rude and patronising reply saying she’d already answered my question in the first email. I wrote back explaining how the laws of the English language say different, and I said goodbye because by this time Toni had also emailed with a significantly better deal anyway - AND, her email was polite, friendly, succinct and thoroughly explained the costs of having 45kg bottles with annual rental, refill/delivery/swap prices; and clearly stated the total price for having bottles setup at my house, and the only expenses during use being delivery/swap prices, and annual bottle rental charged annually from the second year. It was definitely on the lower side of what my expectations were for big gas bottles, and also significantly better price than Elgas I can’t remember if it was the refill price or the bottle rental price that had a big difference.nI was busy so I put it on the back burner for a couple months, and then pulled the trigger last week. Speaking to Toni on the phone to arrange it, she’s just as polite, professional and friendly as her email, I paid for 2 bottles on the spot, the actual transaction took a few minutes and delivery was available the next business day.nnI just now received a Google notification that someone found my first scathing advice helpful… I thought I’d better do an update; credit belongs where credit is due, and I’m big enough and ugly enough to admit I when I’ve judged too quickly. I still think the sales tactic of not revealing prices in order to give someone a chance to see how much money they can get from us is disgusting and pathetic in this day and age, but evidently it’s the industry standard… But Toni was great, I would highly recommend contacting her first, and more importantly it was cheaper than expected; I don’t feel like I was sold anything for commission at all despite their no upfront prices, but if any commission was had here it was well deserved, and I still feel like I got the best deal around.nNo; I have no affiliation with anyone from Supagas, this is not a creative feedback tactic, I have never met or had any dealings with Toni outside of arranging my gas bottles last week.
Extremely unprofessional and rude stuff and trouble ServicesnnI’ve asked for swap a faulty cylinder after two weeks being late they gave us another faulty cylinder and we called them to Replace it ASAP as our Forklift stopped on the road and we had to move 20 plates of TimbernnThey told us ,we can’t help you today Bye .nnI don’t Recommend Supagas at all .
Absolutely gone downhill.nnWhen we signed up years ago we were assured of next day delivery.nnThe past few months each promised delivery has been missed and we’ve had to call to chase up when the bottles are coming.nnThe recent scheduled delivery was missed again and when we queried this we were told “we don’t do next day deliveries - we’ll deliver when someone is free. Bye”.nnWhat a disgrace.
STAY CLEAR!!! Atrocious customer service!!!nStopped using them after failed promises of deliveries - affecting the performance of my company.nEven after all the bottles were collected weeks after I requested them to be picked they are still charging me for bottle rental on bottles that have been collected.nafter constant ringing them and being hung up on multiple times the problem is still not resolved.nI would advise stay well clear of this company.
Quick and reliable service. Price's are very competitive..Strongly recommend to try ,believe me you won't regret.
