Love this place, very fresh food. We normally do take away but the atmosphere is cosy for dining in. A good place on the border of pascoe Vale and StrathmoreFood: 5/5
I usually enjoy the food from this place, but on this occasion, we placed a pick-up order and were informed that it would be ready in 45 minutes. However, when we arrived to collect it after 45 minutes, we had to wait an additional 50 minutes for our order to be prepared. This was so disappointing as it was not communicated clearly to us. While I understand that it can get busy and staff can be short from time to time, it would have been better if we were informed that it would take an hour and a half from the start instead of being given false hope. Not good enough!
Lovely atmosphere at this restaurant and comfy chairs. We were extremely disappointed with the Gang dang chicken curry and the Gang pett ped Yang duck curry in that it was mostly vegetables and we had to search for the meat. Our other dishes, especially the green papaya soft shell crab salad were delicious. The manager didn’t believe us when we said there were only 2 pieces of duck in the dish.
Food was delicious and the service was amazing, would definitely recommend! Vegetarian options: Lots of options for veggies and plenty for vegans too :
Since coming back to Melbourne from Sydney I have struggled to find a nice local Thai restaurant until I stumbled across Nongkhai Thai. The food was fresh and delicious, delivery was swift, and customer service is very accomodating one item was incorrect and rectified satisfactorily and quickly will absolutely keep ordering and dining with them.
Newly renovated this Thai restaurant . The food is good and the service was also good . They have parking available next to street. The place looks nice and clean . We also order through menu log when we can’t dine in. We had satay chicken , pad Thai and Thom yum soup. It was so good .
My usual takeaway and dine-in place for Thai food. The quality of food is most of the times great my favourite being the Tom yum soup and chicken satay skewers with peanut sauce. The only issue is I wish the quality was more consistent sometimes the skewers can be burnt and over cooked. The soup can also be overpowering. Service is always good
Love the decor and ambience of this place. Parked at the rear and the entrance was a beautiful walk of greenery. Thought that was nice. Restaurant itself is off the main road but it’s pretty quiet inside. We ordered the Satay which I though was good. Not your usual Malaysian satay, there’s a difference with Thai satay. Traditional duck curry and deep fried fish with Thai sauce I thought was ok. Thinly sliced duck meat in a curry was good but lack the punch and meat. Fish was good. Sweet sour and a lil tangy sauce goes well. Service was good being that it’s Friday night and lots of take away orders. Would be back to try the other dishes. 6/10.
The Address is in Strathmore. On 366 Pascoe Vale Rd, opposite Strathmore train station. An excellent choice for a dinner party or family dinner outing. You can't go wrong with this Thai restaurant. They serve very tasty, spicy or delicious meals. On their menu I recommend the Gang Dang. It's Traditional Thai curry made from a spicy red curry paste. Cooked in coconut milk and vegetables. And a bowl of coconut rice. A beverage I recommend to try is Lychee lemonade or Blue Lagoon lemonade.
Best Thai food we've likely ever had. We've been going for years and love it. The food is always consistent.Food: 5/5
