Sunshine station itself is very well built with many facilities available. However, the trains to Sunbury run every 30 minutes at night and thats an issue when there are train replacement buses. Simply, these buses are not aligned with the Sunbury trains that makes people either to run or miss the train and cause frustration.nnOn Wednesday 15/1/25 a female childcare worker was abused by the AOs ticket inspectors at Middle Fooscray station which is on the Sunbury line that Sunshine station is part of. The behaviour by these ticket inspectors is unethical and unacceptable, and noone ever should be treated that way. Having in mind that these ticket inspectors are opportunists to get people penalised and Melbourne currently has the most expensive ticketing system, I'm changing my stars into 1 until further notice. Public transport should be free in Melbourne and in Victoria.nn25/2/25: Again, train replacement buses are not aligned to the trains beginning at Sunshine station. This issue should be addressed.
Today, I had to catch a train for the first time in many years. Frankly, I had no idea what I was doing and how to get to where I was going! The two staff members at the service desk were so so lovely and helpful. The gentleman even sorted my settings on my phone so I could get the myki to work. In a job that I'm sure is often tough with difficult members of the public, they were both friendly, patient, and kind. Thank you. I got home safely with your help.
Each suburb has its charm, and I go to those places where you see curious places where you can return with friends or someone special.
