If you happen to get there when the tide is a little lower plus it's around sunset time, you are in for a real treat! One can walk all the way out on a gravel stretch that's usually covered up when the tide is high. Truly lives up to its name with gorgeous sunsets!
I'm happy. Saw a seal playing in the surf between river / sea right at Sunset Point. Less than 2 metres from the shoreline. Quite cool! Getting a photo is quite a different matter. Plane flying in low under the mist / fog. Now I've seen everything.
Great little view point facing the sunset. The waves are crazy so definitely don't swim, but you can get some amazing views of the sunset if you come at the right time.

This place has incredible sunsets. Very easy to get a scope of the stacking sunset across the water if you catch it at the right time.
Excellent spot for a stopover and picnic with access to disabled toilets. Just make sure you're well covered as it can get quite windy!
Nice spot with nice view on the ocean and sunset! Lots of parking slots and public toilets nearby. Even a nice ship which is illuminated during the night!
Always nice to catch the sunset from Sunset Point. It's a great view across the river to the setting sun. Brilliant views down the beach and river too. The shipwreck replica nearby is kinda cool too and you sit there at the tables and chairs. The area is a bit drab with gravel roads and a pretty average finish but you overlook all that and take in the views.
