For all the overpriced pastries being sold in many cafes in the neighborhood, the overpriced baked goods at Coles, Sunny Vi is a godsend. There's something to be said about fresh baked goods and the difference in taste is quite noticeable. While the place may not make the list of "fanciest" croissants, tarts, breads and so on, the simple fact they are being made fresh every day gives them a edge over other places nearby that sell bread and pastries. Their opening hours are generous and they finally accept cards payments without a minimum amount required. Plus, for the price of one baked good somewhere else you'll most likely be able to buy a couple here.
I had a sausage roll which was amazing but some of the sweet breads look a bit average. I also had a cheese and bacon roll which didn't seem that fresh. Just you're standard Vietnamese hot bread shop.
HEALTH WARNING!!! Mouldy food. They used to be my weekend go-to for a delicious hot Quiche breakfast. Now they sell/serve cold and mouldy food. Disgraceful and sickly I'm never going back there again
Having pigeons fly out from behind the counter. Disgusting? Yes! I can live with that. I can't live with a bakery that isn't open at 550 am. You're not even a bakery in that case. Gladesville area everyone's lazy
Best Croissants/ almond croissants I’ve had in Sydney. Never overpriced and you get good value.
Great quality Bahn Mi and a great variety of breads and bread rolls for an affordable price!
Sunny’s is an institution in Gladesville. Their rolls are awesome, packed with flavour and a great price. The cakes are great too! Sunny’s is now the host to the first #lovegladesville mural painted by Robertson’s and Pink Cactus with the support of Hunters Hill Council.
I've really enjoyed the different bahn mi I've tried w salad roll for $5 being an especially good deal. However, can't say I'd recommend the pies / pastries as any I've tried on different days were always quite bland and felt cheap for the price.
Prices go up and down depending who serves you. I got charged double recently because the older lady was careless with my card. They were rude to me today. Im not going back
Really don't take giving 1 star lightly, but this bakery has really old food. A lot of their cakes and pastries are stale or completely inedible. Their banh mi is not tasty, gets soggy from too much sauce and doesn't even taste like a banh mi, more a bland salad roll. I've tried buying different items on different occasions to really give them a chance, but everytime the food is poor quality. The service is also quite dismissive and not friendly at all. Will not be back.
