Local and family-friendly recreational facility in the heart of Sunbury! Offers an outdoor 50 metre pool, an indoor 25 metre pool, a warm water pool, two spas, one steam room no sauna; a reasonably sized gym, aerobic + group fitness spaces, multipurpose rooms and pilates. Very welcoming for families, seniors and people with disabilities.
Most of the gym employees don’t really work I mean of course they can assist and show you proper form on any exercise Despite this the only other work they do is creating customer plans. The gym employees who is bald and very buff works the absolute hardest at this gym actually doing everything he is expected to but also also cleaning machines from top to bottom such as the treadmills and seats and handles of any machine. Great work
Sunbury Aquatic and Leisure Centre offers so many facilities, the Pilates section they have is so good and the staff are very skilled and knowledgeable. The office staff are super lovely and helpful and overall quite decently priced for students, have not checked other memberships when considering all facilities available. Highly recommend this place!
Loved our infant learn to swim classes, however the bathrooms are disgusting. The bathrooms are full of rust and obviously very old - especially the baby change tables. They are also covered in rust and seem unsafe. There’s also only a very small amount of family rooms when there are 8+ babies in a swim class. At times they are occupied by solo adult swimmers too. The centre is very nice, but the bathroom situation is unacceptable.
Happy to follow rules and fully understand capacity and safety guidelines — that was never the issue.nnThe problem was inconsistency and poor staff awareness. A sign stated “At capacity – one out, one in.” We waited as instructed with our two-year-old, only to be told no one could enter because staff “couldn’t monitor when people were leaving” apparently a management decision. When this was questioned, the sign was simply changed instead of the situation being managed.nnWhen I asked to speak to a manager, none was available. We left, only to be told minutes later that they had started letting people in.nnClear rules are fine. Changing them on the spot, refusing clarification, and then immediately reversing the decision is not. Entirely avoidable and very frustrating.
