You know the feeling you get when your expectations was exceeded. Well this was the case here. Wanted to have an assorted array of sushi, sashimi and a few hot items for lunch. Didn’t feel like bento, katsudon or the other usual Japanese usual hot suspects. The sashimi was fresh and nothing tasted fishy. The fried stuff tempura and tofu was good. The udon soup was pretty tasty and the sushi tasted nice, looked homemade and lots of filling. The only thing that could improve was the rice for the sushi as it was a tad too soft. Maybe they didn’t have time to cool it down. Happy and satisfied dining experience!! 5
I was here to celebrate a friend's birthday. I ordered tuna don while we had salmon rolls, grilled squid ikayaki and large sashimi to share while the rest ordered beef tepanyakki. I would like to love my tuna don but from tasting the tuna from sashimi I had a rough idea what my tuna don was going to taste like. The taste was mediocre. The same goes for the beef teppanyaki. It was quite salty and tasted pretty standard. On the flip side, the kingfish, salmon and scallop in the sashimi tasted delicious. We also loved the salmon roll and the grilled squid. Service was very good. Quick, friendly and accomodating.
went on a quiet relaxed Tuesday lunch time and had a tenpura don, was great value for money and great quality, with very kind waitress! love the traditional seated area they have as well. I would come back here again!
Small restaurant with great service. Staff were helpful and friendly. BYO is allowed for a fee and food was great and reasonably priced. Sashimi was fresh but my favourite was the Beef tataki. Will be back!
First time there, we enjoyed the food there, We tried a selection of sashimi and sushi , overall, happy with the food, nice and fresh, and friendly services.Food: 4/5
One of the few top quality Japanese restaurants that are open for lunch. My highlights were the tempura sushi, the chirashi don with vinaigrette jelly and aburi salmon belly sushi.Food: 5/5
Omg I love it! I ordered 'summer roll' and highly recommend! It was generous amount of sashimi was on the top and roll was huge! I can't put it in to mouth at once! The salmon was fresh and torched just enough. I will definitely go back and try other things :
I’ve been here a few years ago and quite enjoyed it but this time round, I was quite disappointed. Although the place is small, it’s atmosphere for dining isn’t too bad. Food overall was average, not the very authentic Japanese flavours but still taste good. Chicken karage was nice but a bit over done, colour too dark from deep frying. The chicken Teppanyaki was an absolute disappointment… you pay for a main dish price but gets only tiny portion of chicken on the plate see photo which is absolutely ridiculous considering chicken aren’t that expensive to buy. The sauce for it was also super salty. Not sure if I’d return again.
Very nice cosy restaurant. The food is well cook and delicious.
Food was served promptly and it was nice. Only the fried yasai on the Bento forgot to take photo was a bit overdone. The egg on the oyako tori katsu was cooked just nicely and digging into it still leaves a 'watery' kind of feel which I like!
