I hadn't been to the Sugarland Tavern for close to 5 years. The meals used to be delicious. This time around, not only did we have 2 meals incorrectly delivered to our table, we had to return one of the meals to the kitchen, as it had a thick layer of raw flour under the batter. The coleslaw was also super sour and bitter. The consensus from the table was that the meals were "ordinary". It was sad to see that the meal quality had dropped so much. The staff however were lovely and very friendly.

Husband was happy with steak & veg. Chicken parmigiana was a large tasteless meal. If you like bland with no flavour than this your place to eat. Friday night was noisy, busy with large groups and families.

Went to have new year's Eve dinner at the sugarland tavern with my partner and it was a beyond disappointing experience certainly not worth the money spent . Staff struggles to explain the menu . Ordered 2 X seafood baskets . Was told fish could be grilled battered or crumbed turns out not to be true and only get battered . Fish was basically a fish portion you get from woolies the 2x seafood bites was actually 2 chunks of seafood stick . The sea scollap was a seafood bite. Sad thing was the salad was the best thing . Top it off the blue berry cheese cake dessert was brought out before the entree. 3 staff members from kitchen were told zero attempt made to correct or refund their mistakes . Just ow ow noises and 1 sorry.

I was having the worst day. And when I lined up to order a good pub feed… I was served with the biggest smile and the best customer service I have ever seen. I have worked in this industry my whole life and all around Australia and never before have I had the best service. Carasa sorry if I spelt wrong is a star employee and definitely deserves a pay rise. Thank you

First time going here. Had lunch with 3 girl friends to celebrate end of term classes. Huge servings of meals, which couldn't finish & quite tasty. Only negatives were at Entry/sign in with QR code, hand sanitizer bottle just on empty and needed replacing. Staff were informed only to ignore my concern and Ladies toilet within the Bistro area, hand wash faulty on the wall & empty. Informed staff & was told by the male staff member behind bar, yeah we looked at that last week, it's ok. I do not like being fobbed off when it comes to hygiene concerns. Staff helpful with our dietary restrictions at Bistro counter.

I have had several meals here. Great food, great price, and great service. I have a meal every day for lunch. I have tried about ten pubs in Bundaberg so far. Sugerland Tavern has been the best by far. Highly recomend.

Excellent meal, very well priced. Service was really good and I did not have to wait long for the meal.

the meals were fine but we did not like the  fact that our main course came out 5 minutes after our entrees otherwise we had a nice time

Such a great atmosphere! Very friendly staff and super good food!

Easily the best restaurant/bistro in town. Had to stand in line to order dinner for about 15 minutes but well worth the wait. Excellent food and service at a great value  price
