As you walk up the steps to this dome of imagination, you are met by a stunning cannery yellow. It seems to be a glow that comes from not only the defining but the walls as well, making for quite the background for wonderful books. I like it here, I like it a lot.
Lovely staff who won't rush you. Even suggested a chair to sit and ponder. Gorgeous ambience. Wonderful selection of books. Worth supporting!
In the entrance says the thursday's are open til 8 pm and I am here at 7 pm, guess what....closed. I travelled 1 hour with the idea that was opened.

Well, never short on selection & lovely wooden floors. There was even a bohemian their with his shoes off, reading, whilst the owner was exchanging banter with a local customer. What about it; okay but definitely something missing...maybe you can visit & answer the question
In an old building with high ceilings and character, not part of a bookshop chain, so you have more chance of finding something different or unusual. Surrounded by cafes, restaurants and gift shops. Enjoy.
Good to see a book shop still around. Had a good range of books, loads of cook books. No access if in wheelchair, 3 steep steps. Parking is ok big car park to rear about 300m stroll or street parking if available.
Love this little place** It hold thrills, heart string tugs and new adventures on every shelf for young, old and those in between. if a little lost for what to choose merely ask and a smorgasbord of options will be laid before you.
I could spend days, or weeks, in this place but the owners would prefer I buy the books and read them at home. Books! Wonderful!
