Worth the stop for the fish burgers we got here! Would have loved for the raw fish to have been a bit more filling but it was all good. Servings was not over the top and the deep fried stuff didn't feel too oily. Keep it up team! Maybe a little bit more chips??
Great fish and chips and a good selection of seafood at affordable prices!
We heard this place used to be the best fish and chips in town but that it has changed a lot. So we wanted to try it anyway and honestly The fish and chips were good but I wouldn’t say the best or that I would go out of my way to get them. It was overly priced and the service wasn’t the best. But I don’t really know what expectations to have on businesses anymore because times are hard and gone are the days when you could feed a family with $20-$30 fish and chips.
Loved the chips and burgers. Bought kina pot and oysters. A great find for us. Friendly staff and lots of people come with their families to buy their food. Tables available where we had our meal before we traveled back to Auckland.
They use the cheapest brand of takeaway tomato sauce that tastes like its rotten. Makes food completely inedible. Advise to avoid.Food: 1/5
Just ordered chips and 2 $4.50 peices of Hoki. The fish was tiny bite size pieces.....won't be going back here again, will stick to Onerahi fish n chips.
The most disgusting burger I have ever had. Frozen meat patties not homemade, no fresh lettuce or tomato. Please make burgers that are actually edible.
Service is great, just not much of a fan of the seating arrangements my preference. In saying that, Snapper is ALWAAAAYYYYS great from here when in Whangarei!!! Wheelchair accessibility: Haven't seen any disability parking but if you can get a parking out the door, you're a WINNER!
Good prices and nice selection of seafood. They are really clean after having such bad reviews on this place years back it is nice and clean however their burgers are average and the meat pattie is small for a gourmet burger, Hoki is so small it could be a fish bite.
Friendly service Can eat your chips there if your lucky to grap the table.Place could do with a general referb. Building and surroundings could do with a water blast and tidy . One of those popular fish and chip places you just keep going to.Food: 4/5
