Stumpy Gully is a lovely dining and wine tasting venue - we visited with 2 friends. The setting is pretty. The restaurant and tasting area are very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful - service was great. They have a modest range of very interesting reasonably priced wines and we left with a mixed case of 13 wines. We enjoyed the 3 course fixed price menu. The Forestry Mushroom Cannelloni, slow cooked Gippsland Beef Cheek and warm buttermilk & pecan pudding were wonder - as good as any 5 star offering in Melbourne restaurants. We will definitely be back.
We have been going to Stumpy for some years now. This place just keeps getting better! The service is wonderful, you are always welcomed so kindly. The food is amazing, creative and so yummy. The menu changes with the seasons, Shane and the chiefs keep on creating dishes that taste divine. The waiting staff are lovely, some new faces today and they the place proud. Wonderful service. . Try out the wines, they are all excellent and the price range for this quality is really so good. Jackie did the tasting today and it was as great as every other time. Check out this place, it’s quiet, intimate and has a lovely atmosphere. You will be back again. Thank you everyone.
The restaurant at Stumpy Gully is a lovely little venue, and we tried a number of items on the menu, including the Duck Egg, Fish, and Beef Cheeks. All of these were delicious, and the egg was the best I've ever had. The service was also wonderful. The only minor feedback I would have is that the whisky gel on the dessert was a bit overpowering.
Really lovely experience at Stumpy gully. The lady who did our wine tasting was super friendly! Lunch was delicious and well presented and the wine even tastier, so much so that I sent 12 bottles home! Our host lady with short stylish hair was so lovely and accommodating. Will definitely be back!
Delicious food, great ambiance and good service. We utterly enjoyed the homey feel of this place and fantastic dishes they prepared for us. We would definitely go back for more of this great culinary experience.
Thank you to the ever attentive Remy and other staff for a lovely long lunch celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary with our bridal party and partners. Wine tastings pre lunch, a delicious appetizer, and 3 courses to follow. We were the rowdy ones in an intimate dining space overlooking the multi coloured grape vines. Delicious taste and colour combinations greeted us as each plate was served. So close to home, via the freeway and no time limit is a bonus. We couldn't leave without buying a bottle. We'll be back.

Stylish, with attention to detail service, most enjoyable experience. recommend to visit and try Sparkling wine by Stumpy Gully. Would like to thanks the manager who has this soft European touch and loverly French accent, he make our experience even more memorable .
Dinned with 6 girlfriends on Saturday 25 June on the 3 course $90 set menu. We had a fantastic experience at Stumpy Gully from booking to dining and we will definitely be back. Their staff and customer service were excellent, great communication in the lead up to our lunch. The food was divine and very well priced for a set menu my only negative would be that in my experience tea and coffee should be included in the set price The menu choices were really great and everyone on our table thoroughly enjoyed their meals. The Beef cheek was the standout main! I like that there is no time limit on your booking so we could have a break between courses, take a walk on the property, do some wine tasting and then return to the table for dessert and coffee. Everyone on the table also enjoyed their wine choices and a few of us took several more bottles home following the wine tasting. I would definitely recommend this venue. Thanks, for a lovely afternoon.
Wow is all I can say. Julia, Jacqui and Jasmine plus the other members of the Stumpy Gully team were just SO lovely. FOOD was beautiful looking and tasted equally yummy. From my initial online booking to finishing up the last bit of my dessert - everything was just lovely. I just wish that all "customer service' - although I don't want to call it customer service because it was so much more than that, we need more places like this and the welcome we received at Stumpy Gully was lovely. We are back there for a function in Oct and I can't wait. The views of the vineyard, the tables, the wallpaper, just everything - super impressed. Go team......!!!!!
