Good music and good vibes. At least until I looked up to find an elderly lady about a foot taller than me, who proceeded to try and tear my Johnny Thomas from my own body. Beware the cougars!
Went tonight and extremely disappointed. It is pretty sad that the DJ is hidden in a box. We come to see the DJ, isn't the whole point of a DJ is to connect with the crowd? How are they supposed to do that inside a box with glass windows. Cuts them off from the crowd they are playing to. If that is the case why not play a CD because that's basically what it felt like. Also dissapointed that in 6 years there has been no decent upgrades in decorations. We all know that is due to the club having no competition so nothing for it to improve for but realistically they should be improving for the locals anyway. It's sad. It's not that hard to get some local artists to paint decorations each two weeks or so for something new and inviting. Something that can be promoted online and encourage more people to go. I feel many people discontinuing going due to the lack of change and upgrades. It's always the same. We shouldn't have to tell you how to improve your service but here we are. Doubtful that you will even take on this advice. It's likely to stay the same for the next 10 years until some competition comes to town and forces you to change. Also very disappointed in the sound system it is clacky and noisy. Also dissapointed in your chosen DJ who just cut between tracks and didn't actually transition tracks at all. A real DJ makes their own song by mixing the end of one song and the beginning of another song together in a way that keeps the momentum of the crowd. The DJ chosen did not do that and just cut between tracks like a CD would. Probably should have just played a CD tbh would have sounded the same and cost less than a DJ who didn't even feel like they were there because they were stuck in a box. How sad. PS I saw your upgrades. Changing the layout didn't do much. It's still the same colour. Where is the competition I don't see any other clubs in Albany? Where are they at? What are they called? I'd love to try them out? There's no other places open between 11-3am that I know of in this town. It's funny you replied to this review out of all the other bad ones. Seems it hurt your ego. Your new lights don't do much, art would improve it more and contribute to supporting local artists but you clearly don't see that. I don't request songs. And you don't need CDJs to mix tracks properly but clearly you don't know that either it can be donee on traktor you don't even need Serato. It's also funny how all of your comments back to people's reviews are spiteful, unprofessional and arrogant when it's not what you want to hear. Grow some professionalism in your responses. Butt-hurt business owners who respond like this will never get good reviews. It's not that hard to go thankyou for the feedback we will try to improve where we can instead of writing a snarky comment back.
Only gone a handful of times and only 2 of them were fun. The last I went I was watching over my mates in one of the boothes and I got kicked out for literally nothing
The Legendary Club of Albany give it a shot lads, and perfect place to send it.
Was pretty excited to get amongst it while on holiday but upon arrival I immediately had my johnny thomas death-gripped by a woman who looked like prince phillip.
Went there last night, it could be a lot better I think. Drinks are pricey, pricier than most bars or clubs in Perth - but I suppose it makes sense given the smaller crowd that attends. Major point was the DJ, maybe they should try a different playlist? No-one was on the dancefloor for too long.
Got absolutely wrecked, danced for hours had a blast. Awesome DJ, Drinks a bit pricey and venue a bit divey but was too drunk and lost in the music for it to really dull my experience and only club in Albany where else to go?
Some old lady touched my John Thomas! My Johnny Walker! My Joseph Gobles! My Meat and two veg!
great place if Ur looking for some cougars on the prowl for your johnny Thomas
Apparently rated the worst club in Wa, I didn't find it too bad. Music was alright, had expensive drinks and drunk people dancing like any other club.
