The fish and chips and good flavor and was fresh - the piece was small so they gave extra. A little greasy. Reasonably priced and a good selection on the menu. Quick turn around, 10minutes. Very busy of a Friday night around 6pm.

I don't remember the last time I had such good fish and chips. The fish was tender, fresh and legitimately sweet, the batter was light and crunchy. Yum! The whole family were impressed and raving. Definitely coming back.
Just in Devonport for the night. Wanted fish and chips. Checked out the reviews. Shop front looks basic but the gummy flake and chips was fantastic. Melt in your mouth. Great feed.
Very disappointed almost inedible fed most of it to seagulls even the chips were rubbish - batter inches thick tough calamari and fish bites were like leather — going by the website really looking forward to some good quality Tassie seafood - this was rubbish The young guys serving were lovely though. Really pleasant
I am a working holiday maker and travelled all around aus literally. And this is one of my favorite fish and chips shop. So tasty that I want to learning the recipe and open one in my country indeed
'Strait out of the microwave' more like it! We went here because of the so called good reviews!! Paid $14 for a chicken burger just a piece of leaf , pineapple and chicken and the bread was stale??? !!! Overall paid over $60 ... if I knew the burgers were going to look like this we would've gone to McDonalds at least we would of got our moneys worth.
Freshly caught fish and good chips, generous portions, affordable prices, a lot variety available. You can't go wrong. A rare kind of fish and chips in the area.Food: 5/5
Calamari was very chewy and our meal was very oily. Our battered gummy was great, but again, very oily. Will try again another time, maybe our first try was on a bad day.
Great fish and chips for a great price! With an amazing story and amazing service, Strait Off the Boat is the place you gotta go for a great Devonport experience. 5/5, will be back next time I'm in Tassie!Food: 5/5
