The Straddie shop that, quite literally, has everything that you might need, for camping, boating, fishing, and general house maintenance supplies- and the proprieter is a delight- friendly, welcoming, helpful, and always happy to chat! I can highly recommend this shop!

Reasonable prices with a wide assortment of useful equipment and items. Very helpful staff, saved our butts when we dropped our rental car keys down a storm drain during a downpour! They were able to MacGyver it out using poles and hooks from their shop.
Can't rate these guys high enough! Stayed open a few min later to get us out of a pinch so we could cook dinner as we had lost a gas fitting. Super helpful! Very reasonable prices and awesome service! Thanks again! Turned a very stressful arvo into a wonderful evening! Much appreciated!
Awesome place and has a bit of everything. Whether you are looking for some toys, games or activities or you have forgotten your gas line, this place will be able to help. All items are priced reasonably as well comparing to mainland prices.
A kind Scottish gentleman runs this place and the best word to describe it is a bazaar. Plenty of boating, camping and especially fishing accessories here. Unusual array of tackle and the only place I've seen in recent years with low reel mount rods for Alvey reels. If he doesn't have what you want there's a darn good substitute. Not open Sunday but otherwise a good place for your gear, a chat and prices equivalent to small tackle shops on the mainland. Thank you.
Went in to buy a footy with my 13 year old son & 7 year old daughter as soon as we arrived in Straddie. We were in the shop a few minutes when the shop assistant marched up to my son and accused him of stealing the pumped up football as he had been passing it around his body and he had it behind his back... maybe next time wait until we leave with the football without paying before accusing him us of stealing. Not a pleasant welcome or start to our week holiday in Stradbroke.
Great stop for all the things you forgot to pack before heading over on your holiday, good fishing tips from locals. Reasonably priced.
