The staff are very friendly and helpful! The electronic menu is innovative. The Eye Mignon was tender and very tasty, and the sauce was an excellent touch. Potatoes were crisp! I very much enjoyed the experience of oiling my steak and hearing it sizzle and experimenting with cooking lengths. I was impressed how well the stones carry their heat. I would be interested in trying more food, but the menu is rather expensive. I got away with the Eye Mignon for $23, which comes with potatoes and salad. After adding a coffee, I was very satisfied for <$30. I understand the price is due to the quality of the meat. I look forward to my next visit!
Always wanted to try hot stone concept and after dinning here I have now fallen in love with the concept and the place. We dined as a table of 8 celebrating birthday. We were welcomed very warmly by the owner himself. Our table was nicely decorated with birthday balloons. Meals were exceptional, loved everything. Fresh seafood, great eye fillet steak and Ribs were very nice too. Thank you stones, we will be back soon.
We booked a table for 8 and it was a first for 7 of us. What a lovely night out with family. We order a few different mains and the rest ribs and wings. I absolutely loved ordering through the order pad and the waitstaff were delightful. My steak was cooked perfectly . Everyone of us left happy. Well done to the owner and staff @ Stones on the Main.
My wife and I just had our first experience at Stones On The Main. It was absolutely fantastic.The service was exceptional, and not having to cook your meat etc.at a restuarant before was exciting to say the least.The cut of meat was superb and actually melted in our mouths when cooked. If you haven't been to this establishment before, a visit should be on your to do list All we talked about on the way home was how wonderful this outing had been. Well done to the staff and thank you for a great night. We will be back.
Great concept badly executed. A table of 12 all ordered meals on the stone, though staff were very friendly the meal was very disappointing. I ordered the rump & prawns, what I received was a very measly piece of rump steak thin and 4 small prawns - way overpriced for what was received. Salad was fresh and tasty, potato chunks crisp, but the sauces all round were just appalling. My mushroom & garlic was tasteless & watery, my friend's hollandaise is the worst I have ever had in a restaurant anywhere. Then to add insult, at the end of the meal several people at the table ordered coffee, only to be informed that nobody on duty was trained to use the coffee machine, I did offer to show them how there & then. Never again - Pick up your act guys, no wonder the restaurant was almost empty on a Saturday night.
Took my partner out for his birthday. The staff were lovely and the food was amazing. A lot of fun using the hot stone to cook the meat. The ice cream was the best I've ever tasted. Made it even more fun with the cold stone and mix ins. Highly recommend. Great night. Thank you!
Great food in the heart of Wellington Point. Perfect if you have a sweet spot for meat. All you can eat ribs on Thursdays does not skimp. The ribs are amazing and at a great price. The main menu has good variety and with the novel stone tabletop cooking is so much fun.
Overall experience was good. As a qualified chef myself the food and service was above standard. Waiters were very responsive and helpful. The quality of the meat was great. I had the mixed grill all cuts were tender and juicy. The only thing I could criticise is not cut the meat into small portions I.e the mixed grill comes out with diced chicken and diced beef. Leave the cuts whole and if customers want they can cut them into smaller pieces. The plate of veggies that's complementry was a great touch.
Great lunch! Meat was so tender AND the pizza delicious too. Loved the concept of the meat cooking on a volcanic rock plate. The Agafotto desert with espresso and Tia Maria was amazing. Great service by Karen! Will be definately dine there again! A little hidden secret! Highly recommended.
Love the hot stone experience, and so do the kids. Beautiful cuts of meat - lovely pastas, pizza & ribs for those who would rather not cook themselves. They have earnt themselves some very happy regular customers!
