Horrible service and lousy food - we ordered seven dishes and they were very very average tasting. Flavours were unauthentic and the ladyboss who was serving was rude, unfriendly and went out of her way to make our experience unpleasant. Our friend was allergic to an ingredient and she showed her displeasure by shaking her head at us and throwing dishes on the table. The dishes were starchy and the final receipt was just scribbles on a piece of paper. The only time she smiled was when we paid in cash. Dishes ordered - mapo tofu, crispy tofu, lemon sole fish, teriyaki chicken, mixed veges, fried calamari, beef horfun Definitely would not recommend and would not return. Better off heading to Sunnybank. Dietary restrictions: Very intolerant and unfriendly
I've going there for the past 20 years, and honestly think it's the most delicious and authentic Chinese cuisine you'll find in Brisbane. Not pretentious, generous portion sizes and fast service. To me, the dated decor adds to the charm of the place.Food: 5/5
Your atypical neighbourhood Chinese restaurant. The service is atrocious & the ambience is basic. Unfortunately there is only 1 staff member who can speak fluent English. However, the food quality is actually above average & well priced. I would give it 4 stars if they hired more professional staff.
Joined some church friends for lunch here one Sunday, with one particular regular customer ordering for our group. We enjoyed an 8-course meal, including some off-menu items. I’m not sure of the exact menu listing names, but we had: * soup * braised pork belly with preserved mustard greens * chicken * mandarin beef * yong tau foo * another tofu dish * deep fried boneless duck in plum sauce * vegetables Total bill for 19 adults and 9 children was $600, which works out to about $25 per adult equivalent. Standouts for me were the pork and the duck. The pork dish is a Chinese staple though not something I’ve had for some time, so it was a happy reacquaintance with the taste. I loved that the duck was boneless, making it really easy to eat and rather moreish. Would definitely be keen to have it again!
Our Christmas Eve tradition is to eat here. This year we asked our waitress to help us order. The food was delicious. The Chinese style sweet and sour pork was a favourite, as was the Mandarin beef. Six dishes, all excellent.Food: 5/5
I generally have a decent experience with this restaurant however my most recent experience was incredibly poor. The food tasted as though it was not seasoned whatsoever and out of 5 dishes the only half edible one was the seafood noodles.
Dined in and had the sweet and sour pork and fried rice. It was delicious..! Would definitely return here and try some of there other dishes. It was busy still the service was fast and efficient friendly staff.
Never again will we darken the door. Asked for a menu and was glared at by the woman serving. She slammed her finger down on the menu glued to the counter and glared some more before walking away when I asked how her day was. The kitchen did not look especially clean. Left without ordering. Will not patronise a business when the staff/owner are so discourteous. Learn some manners!
It's a very low profile restaurant offering very home-styled traditional dishes which the taste may not appreciate the everyone. Considering the prices, still worth to try. Restaurant gave all tables a plate of sliced watermelon as thank you gesture when I went there last week!
Authentic Traditional Chinese dishes, reasonably priced and friendly Asian aunties. Good local gem for a Chinese dinner/lunch
