it took a little planning and corodination however the work that Mitch and the team at Stern First did on making a full set of custom covers for a clients RIB tender was of exceptional quality. Always happy to wait and pay for the best outcome. Stern First delivers

I was advised to buy a quantity of Tube Paint and cleaner Polymarine Flexithane and solvent by Mitch Cope of Stern First in order to repaint my 645 Brig in mid 2018 - i was supplied photos of repainted brigs and a process by which to apply. I purchased the products from Stern First and then supplied the products to a shipwright at whitebay who followed the process in a controlled paintshed - they paid very close attention to the instructions even though they had successfully done similar jobs before . The whole process cost me over $4000. The boat looked great day 1, but after a short period of time the paint started going sticky and breaking down in the sun and weather, very soon it looked terrible. It was clear there was something wrong. I referred the matter both the the Shipwright and Stern First - both concluded there was a contamination in the paint of some sort. Stern First inspected the boat and then on the 12th of May 2019 emailed me confirming it was paint contamination, but as they hadn't had a previous problem and the manufacturer hadn't had other issues with batch - clearly no compensation was to be offered. I replied on the 12th expressing my dismay, but have not had a correspondence since, with neither the manufacturer or Stern First offered any compensation or make good for their faulty contaminated products - other than Mitch Cope inferring on the 12th of May he would do a good deal on a re-tube. The Brig has since been sent to another Brig dealer to do a re-tube who i have heard stands behind their products and works. I did consider seeking legal compensation which i did advise Mitch of, but decided on reflection, not to through more money and time on the this matter. Stern First, i was not after a free lunch, i didn't argue about price - just a supplier to stand behind their products and not be ignored. A very very very disappointing customer experience.
Mitch and the team at Stern First were great, very professional, sound advise and good service. Whilst the price may seem to be "top dollar" the workmanship and experience is worth it.
I am happy to recommend Sternfirst. Expert advice, professional service and prompt delivery. My new stern rail, davits and rib fitted my boat perfectly and I could not be happier with them.
Stern First did an almost complete rebuild on my 10 year old Southern Pacific Puffin. When I picked it up I thought it was a new one on display in the showroom. Amazing job you guys. Thanks!!

Three phone calls, an enquiry via the internet and not even the courtesy of returning my calls. I would hate to do business with a company that has such a poor attitude to potential customers.
