Faced prejudices and had to confront their biases the whole time.. suposedly by an experienced case worker. I reckon they need to get out of their bubble and try to understand others, allow them to be listened and heard.. not blame you everytime they have to confront your situation, cos that's not a great pep talk, they are not trained for diagnosing or prescribing medication so should keep their personal opinions away from the table.. there were moments of empathy towards my situation at a few instances, but far in between. Gotta agree with Ray in the comments, mediocre, but far much better than the acute care team
I have been working with Michelle Drummond for over a year and I have never experienced such a caring supportive person as she is. She is empathetic, knowledgeable, encouraging but mostly aware of my past issues and how to support me while I tried to get through my health issues and now also that I’ve just found a great job. Thanks again Michelle!
Amazing and caring service. These people were very empathetic to my situation and tried everything to get me my job I have now and I'm loving it. I am so grateful I was sent there.
The staff are very welcoming and full of knowledge. They have wide range of connections in the local community to help with finding employment opportunities. They have really built a fantastic team over there!
STAY AWAY FROM STEPS 1 star is far more than they deserve. Effed me around and wasted hundreds of hours. NEVER made me aware of my rights as a jobseeker, and repeatedly took advantage of that. After a full year of attending their useless appointments and meaningless in-house workshops that even a 10 year-old already knows, and making me look for work on their slow computers I do this at home anyway, the proof is on my jobseeker account, I finally found a job BY MY OWN EFFORTS. They then took credit for that and claimed a fee from the Govt. That's how these places operate. A year later, they: Forced me into a job that I WAS MEDICALLY UNABLE TO DO, AND THREATENED TO CUT OFF THE CENTRELINK PAYMENTS I NEEDED TO KEEP THE ROOF OVER MY FAMILY'S HEAD, WHEN I GAVE PROOF OF MY CONDITION. On top of that, the place they forced me into was in violation of several WHSQ rules. I researched my rights and was able to get out of this job and STEPS, and transfer to another agency. Please, keep the Eff away from these leaches.
Great Staff, Great People Far more better than the awful Acute Care Team!!
I am very disappointed with this company. They take their client for not even on time, sometimes dont show up when there ment to! Do not stick to their word! Very Disappointed.
Very experienced and supportive staff, with strong connections in the community and in employer engagement.
Excellent customer service, very support and great to work with. Highly recommend!
A well structured organisation supporting the disabled with community access, accommodation support and group activities for the disabled.
