This is an unusual place to dine as it feels cobbled together and lacks uniformity in it's layout. It's an oddity but not an uncomfortable venue to dine at. The coffee and banana bread I had were okay, even though the banana bread was on display without any cover over it. Who knows how long it'd been sitting there exposed to who-knows-what . There didn't seem to be a set menu and the food on offer seemed very limited. Maybe this place is good for take away coffee , but to dine in at it I think it might be too random for many.
Love everything about Steampocket. Convenient, versatile, friendly, great service. Thanks for going above and beyond for your customers, even during Covid times. You made lockdown bearable.
Cam and staff catered for a significant birthday, they could not have done a better job Food was fabulous and staff very attentive recognising the needs of all of the guests. Great location for about 50 people to have a very enjoyable and memorable night.. Thanks heaps!
Catered for our 40th Wedding Anniversary and the food was outstanding! So beautiful and delicious. Thank you so much.
Take away during lockdown with curries and other delicious looking good. Wonderful service. Lovely staff. Great selection of food and drinks including coffee and wine. Lots of homemade options. Chai latte was lit
Nice place, but terrible coffee. I had a good toasted sandwich. The sweets looked good, but I don't eat that kind of stuff. The indoor/outdoor different ambiances are quite engaging. I'll probably try one more time, maybe with some suggestions for the barista :-
Catered for my mum's 70th birthday. The food was outstanding and delicious. Thank you Cam for everything.
We love these guys. They are super friendly. We love their weekly family deals. A home cooked meal at a very reasonable price is a real treat.
Wonderfully attentive and polite staff, wanting what is best for their customers. Food is always of a high standard and the drinks and coffee are equally impressive. Great for a family catch up on those weekends in the sun.
Service, flavour and a relaxed feel. I shot down Pako St after about 4:30pm looking for a strong coffee and a a chilled place to finish the day's work. Finding all the other cafes closed a quick google search suggested the Steampocket and I'm glad it did. A much needed latte was quickly delivered after ordering and the less needed sausage roll was quick to follow. Setting up in their heated semi-outdoor area I knuckled down and smashed out some work with a family friendly after school buzz going on around me. It seemed like a great place for families to catch up with young ones as well as some business people meeting. Friendly staff, great food and strong coffee. Instagram: the_simple_mans_foodie
