A visit to Victoria wouldn't be the same without a cruise down the GO road to breath in some salty air and to soak up coastal vibes My Sis insisted we stop off in Barwon Heads, grab a coffee, and try a "Squishy".. "A friggin what" was my reply... "You'll see" she said hahaha. It was about 930am and the Starfish was absolutely pumping. Locals and visitors alike queued down the street waiting to put in takeaway orders or too be lucky enough to find a table.... and now I know why. The coffees were on point and the alleged "Squishy" which turned out to be the most perfectly cooked runny fried egg, bacon and mayo and the softest bread roll ever was equal to the hype. They even prepared a GF version for my amazing wife who is Coeliac. Can't wait to return!!! Note: this place gets super busy, so one must be a little patient if you want to enjoy it's offerings
Amazing, hearty, buttery pastry around the sausage rolls and pies! Everything on the menu looked great.
Excellent service, very fast and efficient. Food and coffee great. Great value worth a visit. Open till 3pm.
This is a big call…..best bacon and egg roll I’ve ever had.
It was a weekend. There was an event in town. The place was packed plus serving take away. We shared a table outside but were able to find a seat for 2 inside later. Maybe it wouldve been better to sit outside. The noise generated by groups inside became unbearable trying to talk above everyone else. Not a pleasant way to spend a Sunday. I had to get out as soon as possible. The food and service were fantastic seeing the number of customers they had to deal with. We are from WA and visiting family. We will come back if we are over this way again. Maybe on a quieter day next time.
Absolutely delicious- fresh bread, pastries, muffins and hot food. I had the starfish squishy and it was amazingly delicious. Soft sourdough loaf, toast sliced was heavenly and only cost $5. Beautiful range of muffins including nectarine and white chocolate. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Eat in or take away. Service friendly and efficient. Can get extremely busy Would happily eat here again and again and again.
Everything was averagley nice, coffee, food and service. Could be good cafe to go regular basis.
The superstar squishy was super tasty, but also super messy - wouldn't deter me from getting one again though!' Everything we had here was excellent, and the staff are lovely despite how busy it gets.
Well oiled machine !! Super busy Saturday morning. Orders taken, coffee being brewed, meals prepared, cakes n munchies being bagged and all handed out to eager customers, superbly handled % Great coffee also and delicious Danish tarts too We'll be back.
Love starfish and the staff. We are travelling in WA found a coffee shop in Esperance that reminds us of Starfish but the coffee at Starfish still better
