Stunning little Thai restaurant in the heart of Port Douglas!! We stopped by to try out this place from recommendations and we were not disappointed. The food was amazing, the staff are super friendly. There is outdoor and indoor seating. I would say it’s nice to have something different in the area as we were walking the main street and most restaurants was serving the same type of food and this place seemed popular for take always.
Firstly, my partner and myself had no idea what to get for dinner. We asked the waitress what was best on the menu; she informed us the chicken curry was really good! And, it was ABSOLUTELY amazing! Besides the weather being really hot and the room not air conditioned enough: the chicken was soft and the taste to perfection I have been to Thailand and have tasted Thai food. I couldn’t leave without sending our feedback back to the cook. Absolutely splendid. Eaten here twice in our one week stay and was craving it every day. You’ll definitely have to open a place in Melbourne! Otherwise, I’ll have to keep coming back to Port Douglas frequently!
Great Thai Restaurant on Macrossan St, Port Douglas. Food was delicious, particularly the beef salad and the massaman curry. Tried the pumpkin coconut custard for the first time, and I quite liked the unique flavour. I must specially appreciate and make mention of the hardworking staff, who served us in a very courteous and friendly manner on what was an extremely busy night.
We called at 5pm and they picked up the phone promptly. Was able to secure a table for 10. Ordering was easy. Food out within 15mins. Good standard Thai food. Fish is always a good choice, Mongolian beef was very tasty, green curry made mild to suit the kids. Pad Thai is good and their pad see ew is a little less stellar. We had 4 kids 6-9yo and they devoured the meal while having a good old yap. Great place for food. Highly recommended.
We ordered some take away as the place was booked out the whole week were in Port Douglas, not sure why thou. We ordered simple meals, like pad Thai, fried rice and chicken. Hubby said the fried rice was average had no flavour and my pad Thai was like eating a spoon full of palm sugar each mouthful - I could not eat it. I love my pad Thai and can usually rate the authenticity of the Thai flavours and food by its Pad Thai and curry we weren't in the mood for curry. We also ordered X2 serves of the crispy chicken wings, which we all enjoyed including the dipping sauce. Overall we don't rate this place. Was very disappointed.
Love a good Thai place! We booked for dinner and glad we did because it got busy. Service was quick and loved the beef massaman!
Fantastic food, quite possibly the best meal we have had in Port Douglas. Highly recommended.
Lovely Thia restaurant. The staff were so under the pump tonight however, we still received prompt and totally professional service,no stress apparent. Meals are ample ,delicious,I must say I fiind them a bit on the sweet side. Overall a pleasant diniing experince I can thoroughly recommend. Very good value for money.
Drove up to Port D from Townsville and just wanted a tasty, quick, Asian style meal. Star of Siam didn't disappoint. Prompt, friendly service. Great authentic Thai food. The fish cakes were as good as any you'd get in Bangkok. The deep fried fish with Tamarind Sauce was fabulous. All in all a good experience for a casual, tasty Thai meal. Would definately try again
Great thai food. We accommodated althought we a booking. Friendly staff here unlike the racists at every other restaurant in the area.
