I usually drop by when I’m in the area. Staff are friendly and helpful. Although not very spacious in each level, I like the many different cozy corners indoors and outdoors set among large potted plants, as if I were enjoying my magazines and books in my own patio. My boy enjoyed the kid’s corner when he was young, and I liked their previous talks, though haven’t gone to any since Covid. Guess it’s time to check their events schedule again.
EDIT: I'm actually finding it harder and harder to work from there. Lots of noisy people and non-stop giggling and talking students which makes it hard to focus. Nothing against the team, services or selection of books, but lowering my initial rating because of this.nnI like coming here to study, and I regularly borrow books. Their selection is fairly good, and the staff always helpful. I also like that there's a small coffee counter in the courtyard, with tables outdoor to eat / drink. You can easily spend the day there. Carpet and some chairs look very old, could do with a replacement / deep clean. It can be also be loud downstairs sometimes, with people talking loudly, or a pram gang enjoying the couches with their crying toddlers. Sometimes kids running around. Could be quieter for a library, but I always go upstairs and it's fine.
Good place to study, cool range of CD’s, lovely staff. Only downside is the school kids in the afternoon that use it as a place to game. However they do respect other people’s use of the library to be a quiet place.
The library is just awesome. Very kind staffs and you can find range of books and audio cds and dvds in massive ranges of genre. Most of the services are free but some like reservations of materials attracts some charges. Most of the materials can be borrowed for 3 weeks. You will be charged for late fee if not returned or renewed on time. What I did not like about this place is that there is not much place to study. However, people usually go there to borrow the books or cds so usually there are study desks available. And do not forget to book the desk if you want to go there to study or work. The maximum time you can be on a desk is for 2 hrs each day.
It's a fantastic library. The staff are lovely. Great selection of books for everyone. We are so privileged
