Nice spot within the suburbs and amongst the doncaster apartment buildings - food is definitely on level with the standard for brunch in Melbourne. Good variety of options on the menu. I liked my dish but it didn't feel balanced from a flavour perspective.
Very nice lunch on a cold Melbourne afternoon. Liked that they had tomato sauce available in a squeeze bottle and didn’t charge extra for more sauce .
Nice place for a brunch/breakfast in Manningham area. Especially the interior is really beautiful but it not enough parkings are available as it is located in the middle of residential area. Coffes are good but foods were ok. Staffs were very frendly but most of them look new.nRecommded for a lazy weekend morning for local people.
It's been a couple of years since I've been to Stables because last time we went, only 5 out of 7 of us enjoyed our meal. We were since told that there was new ownership and booked our Mother's Day brunch there.nThe atmosphere was relaxing, not too noisy and all 5 of us enjoyed our meal. I now know they have a doggy menu so our walks will now take us there with a little treat for the dogs.nStables Cafe will now be back on our family brunch rotation
A beautiful café nestled in a residential area. I've visited a few times, both before and after the change in management. The interior is beautiful, and the ambiance is lovely.nnHowever, during my last visit, I encountered an issue with the avocado. It had black veins inside and was only properly sliced on one half because it wasn't ripe properly as you can see in the photo, on the left-hand side of the avo. It's strange; even though the kitchen may be busy at times, it seems obvious they should have noticed the avocado wasn't right, yet they didn't bother to replace it with a new one. ‍
