As an inclusive church, we don't tell you what to think, how to vote, or even what to eat or wear.

God has given us the gift of grace to discern for ourselves our journey. Whilst we are predestined to be with the presence of the Divine for eternity, how we arrive there is up to us. Ultimately, it is each one of us who will be required to answer how we used the beautiful gift of life, and how we relate to others.

“The Bible contains 6 admonishments to homosexuals, and 362 to heterosexuals. That doesn’t mean that God doesn’t love straight people, just that they need more supervision.” – Lynn Lavner

Some wisdom from Pope Francis (often misquoted) "If a person is gay and seeks out the Lord and is willing, who am I to judge that person?" . I was paraphrasing by heart the Catechism of the Catholic Church where it says that these people should be treated with delicacy and not be marginalised.

"I am glad that we are talking about 'homosexual people' because before all else comes the individual person, in his wholeness and dignity, and people should not be defined only by their sexual tendencies: let us not forget that God loves all his creatures and we are destined to receive his infinite love.

"I prefer that homosexuals come to confession, that they stay close to the Lord, and that we pray all together. You can advise them to pray, show goodwill, show them the way, and accompany them along it."

St Stephen's agree. We encourage a place where we can pray together, journey together, share one another's burdens, celebrate together, gather at the Lord's table together, and experience God's grace together.

Together. It is not good for one to be alone.
