St. Michael's is an excellent school. As a parent, I was delighted with the quality education my children received and the community atmosphere that existed. The inquiry-based education they received has meant that they are now young adults with a genuine thirst for learning and the skills and knowledge needed to follow their own paths and be happy, contributing members of society. I am now a member of the teaching staff at St. Michael's and that same sense of community that drew me to send my own children there still exists. St. Michael's has an innovative, inclusive, creative and community-minded culture. The staff are open-minded, professional and highly qualified. The opportunities I've had to expand my own knowledge and skills as a teacher have been professionally life-changing, The grounds are stunning and the school is well equipped. I was delighted to be a parent at St. Michael's and I'm delighted and honoured to be a member of staff now as well.
St Michaels is a wonderful school with beautiful caring teachers. They genuinely care about their students and do everything they can to make them feel safe and respected. They work hard to challenge the students and to incorporate the students interests and passions into their learning. Gods love for all individuals drives the motivation behind the actions of the school and so students being the priority can be seen through the decisions made. The parents of the school are very welcoming and friendly and It is a lovely community to be a part of.
As parents who have had three children go through St Michael’s and with a fourth part way through, we have been very happy with the school. We have been grateful for the way St Michael’s has looked after our children, for the standard of education they have received and for the way they have been prepared for high school and life beyond school. They have been fortunate to have caring teachers who have made the effort to get to know them and encouraged their curiosity, creativity and thinking.
I went to St. Michael’s and I now send my children to the school. St. Michael’s is a wonderful community with strong leadership and caring teachers on beautiful grounds in the heart of Adelaide Hills in Hahndorf. Through the Primary Years Program PYP curriculum, I have seen my children develop an inquiry based mindset to discovering and learning about our world. I see the results of these learning skills when we go on family holidays. My children are always looking to learn something about the places we visit and the people we meet to enhance their experience. I am very pleased with my children’s progress in maths and literacy. The school has developed new outdoor learning and nature play areas and the children are involved in helping improve their environment through looking after the creek which runs past the school.
St Michael's is a warm, caring, community focused school. The Principal and the Teaching staff create a learning experience that is based in caring for each other and bringing your full 'self 'to school. Students are encouraged to be independent thinkers and responsible world citizens though a wide range of educational experiences and learning opportunities.
We feel so welcome at St Michaels,, it is a warm and caring community that nurtures the children as they grow and learn. The teachers work incredibly hard to engage the children at their level with inventive and interesting learning activities. I really feel like each of their teachers knows and understands my child and truely cares for them. It’s the best school in the Adelaide Hills.
Been very happy with St Michael's Lutheran School for my daughter Lily. Lily only has a few weeks left at St Michaels and then to start her new adventure with Middle School. Will miss the community spirit and support. Lily has blossomed with confidence with the support of her teachers. Definitely recommend this fantastic school. You won't be disappointed.
I’m a student at St Michaels Lutheran Primary School. This has been the best school ever. The best thing is the teachers and the principal, because they are so supportive and care about the students and our learning. St Michaels has helped me with my confidence and has supported me throughout my whole journey at the school. Lily year 6.
An amazing school. Having a child with a complex medical condition, i was worried about a school meeting her needs. Over the 7 years she attended St Michael's, nothing i have asked has ever been too much for them to handle. Whether it be alternative tasks to minimise risks for her, allowing her to have addional food breaks, supporting her through her hospitalisations, proactively planning and training staff to support her on excursions, camps and extra curricular activities or just checking that she is ok. The whole community has supported our family, holding awareness and casual days. In fact the support we have gained has enticed other families who have similar medical concerns to enrol so they too can get similar support. As a fellow educator i have been regularly amazed by what the students achieve and how proud they are to be a part of the St Michael's community.
Great community school, with fantastic staff and teachers. It has provided our children with a supportive learning environment, encouraged them to be risk-takers, and has wonderful facilities. It has given our children the fundamental skills required to become successful learners well into their future!
