The desk staff are so lovely here!! They helped me get set up with my card and gave me lots of additional tips as a newcomer to the city. They’re as asset to the library and really make a warm and welcoming environment.

Nice local library to spend your afternoon reading, using one of their many free-to-use computers 2 hours max, studying, or working on your laptop. Many desks are available and they have some private study rooms available to book, good free wifi connection, and printing service is available at $0.20 per B/W page $1 for colored page. Books and DVDs collections seem extensive, too, and this place is so easy to reach with tram station right in front of library.

I arrived to Melbourne on September 5th. I was super stressed, looking for a place to live, nothing was really working… i needed to print something so I went to the library and was attended by the kindest person ever, Brett. I haven’t got enough words to express how great he was, how kind, friendly… not only he helped me but also recommended me nice places to go to eat! He really cheered me up that day. It was a lovely experience that I will never forget. More of a community center than a Library. If you have any expectation to study or work, make sure to come after 11, as EVERYDAY they have this very noisy activities with kids that stay in library even after everything has finished.

This is a great place to go, well-organized, and super pleasant place where I spend many afternoons with my daughter, and she absolutely loves it! It’s great to have this space so close to home and her school. The people who work there are awesome too.
