I have been attending St. Joseph's Sunday 9:30 am mass since I moved to North Shore two years ago and find it a close knit community. Glad to see Fr. Tony Doherty's regular visits and hear his inspirational homily again since his retirement from St. Mary Magdalene. St. Joseph's is truly blessed under good administration hands focusing on faith and friendship. One will surely feel welcomed and get connected in this lovely community!
I am so happy to belong to the warm community at St Joseph's Network for Good Community. During the Covid 19 arrangements, when we cannot come to Mass, it is a blessing to have Monsignor Tony Doherty's weekly Gospel reading, reflection and prayer. And there are many riches on the Internet, even messages and prayers from Pope Francis.
I am so grateful I have found the 9.30 Sunday Mass at St Joseph's Neutral Bag. There is a wonderfully prepared liturgy with community singing, music and overhead input . The homily always gives me something to reflect on during the week . For a Catholic all my life I have finally found a Sunday liturgy which does not have me feeling I am being asked to affirm matters I cannot, as an educated person, continue to affirm. Instead Christ's teachings and example are the center of the Mass. There is also a strong welcoming community. Margaret Hetherton
