I had a simple day procedure in and out 4hrs and in that time, I had the best rest. From the moment I got through the door, I was welcomed by a lovely lady directing me to where I needed to be. From then on in, a very smooth process with really friendly, caring and accommodating staff. Once I’d been advised of the next steps going forward along with aftercare, I was given a gown to put on along with warm socks and a heated blanket!!! Wow! Just those extras made me feel relaxed and in safe hands, along with the very informed dialogue from the surgeon himself.nLoved my first time here. Same time tomorrow for a lunchtime slot just to have the toastie socks and blankie againnThank-you to ALL the staff from beginning to end… bless you
We had a super traumatic birth experience last year and it was not a great stay but a year later we needed to stay due to our daughter having bronchiolitis and going into respiratory distress.nThe doctors and nurses from the emergency department all the way through to discharge treated us with the utmost care and we had the most pleasant stay. The paediatric unit helped us understand what was happening and looked after us all the way until home time. Thank you so much it was a much easier stay knowing that our child was in the best hands possible. It’s not a nice feeling seeing your child struggling to breathe.nnThank you to each and every Doctor and Nurse staff that helped our little Harper.
I came with my three year old son .I came so early in the morning and I had to wait three hours and they just think when your condition is worse they'll put you at the doctor. The nurse only gave ORS for the time being. No response has been given in three hours.nI have asked three to four times when I see the doctor and they said your son is not vomiting then wait until he vomits. Very disappointed and frustrated.nI never recommend this hospital to anyone as this is only for priority people not the common people which is really unfair.nHospitals are for helping people but I think this hospital is only for us to die first and then they will treat us.
Have been once with young child. While not fast, were great, and despite being ~1am, had someone come past and make a inflated rubber glove puppet! this helped alleviate concern/distract. Overall what could have been quote traumatising for a young child was made as into a positive experiance.
I do not recommend this hospital,nI presented myself in emergency at 12am I didn’t go through until 5:30am at 7am I was told I can’t be admitted as no beds were available on that ward, I stated I had mental health issues and stating I needed help with severe distress with self harm I am at risk too myself and others ect, I was handed with paperwork and told to leave. If a patient is presented to hospital in this state and there are no beds available on you’re ward you need to have a hospital transfer via ambulance to a hospital that does have beds available. This is why more and more suicides are happening. A patient next to me whilst I was there was crying and begging to be admitted as he wanted to take his own life the doctors used his cries as “violent” and he wanted help I witnessed and heard his pain, I am sorry to all that have been let down by this hospital
