St John of God Bendigo Hospital is a 121-bed private hospital servicing Bendigo and Central Victoria.

Story

St John of God Bendigo Hospital is a not for profit health care provider which, having just completed a privately funded $50 million redevelopment, offers Bendigo and surrounding areas exceptional health care in outstanding, state of the art facilities.

We have 144 overnight beds available, five brand new theatres as well as a dedicated day procedure unit. We currently have around 180 accredited Visiting Medical Officers and are continuing to attract more specialists.

We employ around 550 caregivers at our hospital from nurses to hospitality staff.

We offer medical, surgery, obstetrics, day surgery, coronary care, coronary angiography, Bariatric surgery, inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation, sleep disorders, home nursing, pet therapy, music therapy and allied health, including a private physiotherapy practice, heated pool and gym.

No word can describe how grateful we are to all the staffs at St John de God, from receptionist to nurses and doctors. My 4 year daughter had a dental day procedure and all staffs just couldn’t  do enough for you. The care and service we got is second to none. They made our hospital experience a very positive one. Thanks again

I had my procedure done here recently, well and truly amazed by their caring personality and excellent service. A big thank you to everyone that I've encountered :Liz who guided me to the day procedure unit Carly post op nurse, Chris anaesthesist, Leonie anaesthetic nurse and Robyn admin nurse  The post op sandwichs also tastes quite nice.

I could not fault the hospital,it's staff and the care they give. Even though it was a big operation,the staff were always on hand and very helpful, with a cheery smile

Recent surgery here staff on surgical ward Awesome.nRehabilitation unit are simply amazing, the staff the physio the gym all put up an amazing opportunity for patients to reach their best level of mobility. My rehab Dr was so wonderful and so helpful. To give 10/10 is not enough.nMy midnight  hot chocolate delivery by Jo terezise will be sadly missed

This is my second time I have elected to have surgery at St John of God - I think this hospital should get an award  for Service Excellency and should be be held up as  such to all other hospitals. Great staff, so well trained in customer service, dedicated nursing and ward staff, great room service meals. Wish we had a hospital like this  at my home town in NSW - well done to all levels from management down to hospitality and cleaners etc
