A serious of mistakes over a period of two weeks left me without access to my money. This included cancelling my bank account! Several hours on the phone on hold getting nowhere, taxi trips to banks that didn’t exist yet advertised for example Potts point. My patients finally boiled over in Bondi. The Bank Manager once I explained why I was upset was very empathetic. I was required to go back the next day and and was shocked by how rude and cruel receptionist called Lara. I had never having spoken to her before. The unproffessional approach by this women was very upsetting at a time I was also grieving. I find this banks systems antiquated avoid!
Absolutely disgraceful! Just arrived home after filling up my car with fuel. Couldn’t pay for it as I couldn’t access app, couldn’t access online login and when I called via business and personal received a message to call back as you have technical difficulties- unable to transfer funds to pay for $90 fuel and $4 for my sanitary pads. $94 In Total: immense stress experienced I’ve been a customer for 36 years. I had to pop into the branch this morning to verify my identity and was greeted and served by the lovely Linda. She truly made my experience quick, seamless and just so easy! Thank you
I have tried to get St George Branch staff to assist me in following up a fraud case I was defrauded of $2,500 on my St George account, but found that the Branch is just as much a victim of the Head Office's bureaucratic customer non-service as I am. Bank branches are forced to treat customers as mere numbers and to oblige them to wait hours on the phone at the branch office when dealing with complaints about their accounts. Branch officers ought to take responsibility for representing their customers 'against' the Bank, but of course, they don't. So, I won't be dealing with St George ever again after I have my fraud matter dealt with. At the current rate, this could be months. St George's customer complaints procedures are simply an automated set of computer-generated replies saying that something may happen some time in the indeterminate future. No actual human being seems to be involved. So no-one even seems concerned that you may never get your money back! Time for the Fraud Squad and the Ombudsman! The one star is for the Bondi Junction Branch officer who at least tried to contact the Fraud Department on my behalf. She had no more success than me.
All I needed was a new card after they just cancelled my card. Went into a consultation where she spoke to me for an hour about other useless things around the account that I never asked for. Then she finally ordered the new card but she didn’t do it correctly and linked the card to my father account instead so now I must wait another week due to her lack of focus and attention on what was actually important!
I have had an outstanding service experience here with Pearl Ayubi. I had an issue with merger of two profiles- one from a corporate account I had some years ago and one from a recent application created for a product. This was delaying the approval of the product I applied for which I needed ASAP. After several phone calls, 5 days of waiting and a very disappointing service from the Double Bay branch, I went to the Oxford st Branch to resolve the matter. Pearl attended me on both days and took her time until she resolved the matter for me. She reached out to other departments to understand why has it taken so long and what could be done to fix the issue. As a result of her hard work and strong collaborations with other departments, the confusions around my profiles were rectified and I got approved for the product I applied for. I am now strongly considering moving some of my banking products to St George because of the amazing service I received from Pearl. She is an absolute champion in listening to a customer's concerns, understanding what action needs to be taken and not giving up until and unless all the stones are unturned. I am very grateful for her service and wish her all the very best in future.
Careless, trainee staff, poor knowledge, wasted and hour and half still couldn't help me with account. Stay away from this bank, to me this is a kind of scam bank.
I had a problem being abroad and their answer was, "sorry, we can help you. You can't use your account". My advice, better go with other bank, one who care theis customers. Worst experience with a bank ever, they have ruined my holidays.
Extremely disrespectful towards customers, and have a lack of communication. I recently went into the branch to get my balance transfer credit card and was then directed over to an employee by the name of Tobin Thomas. From the start Tobin was disrespectful, arrogant, and did not try to help resolve any situation. Even after leaving the branch I submitted extra documents Tobin required - It has now been over 2+ weeks with zero response, or communication from him. I would stay far away from this place let alone deal with the disrespectful staff.
It took 3 meeting with the manager and 4 phone calls and a month later my business account still isn’t set up. I’m starting to think the red branding represents red tape
