It was a mistake to send my daughter to this school. She was mistreated by her classmates. When reported to the school, all they did was talk to the class. Things did improve for my daughter, but only for a couple of days and then things went back to the mistreatment. I got my girl out of this school in just 2 years. I had hoped this would end her trauma, but the scars were left way too deep than what I had imagined.nThe St. Dominics' experience still haunts her.nShe tries to keep away from her peers in the new school as she fears that she would be mistreated again. Even though the kids in her class treat her very well.nShe now needs therapy to recover from the mayhem she went through.nnI read positive reviews online and thought the school would be great in shaping my daughter's future. Less I had known it would ruin her present and future.
This school is wonderful. My nieces here are so confident, polite and poised young ladies. So proud of them. But, I do feel like they are missing out on the fun things such as socials, intercoms and interactions with other schools. This is just a loss of an opportunity for their confidence to continue to grow outside of the school environment. I’ll also add, St Dominic’s doesnt feel like it is linked to Blackfriars anymore, there have been no interactions between the schools which is such a shame. The girls at st doms deserve the same opperunities provided to them to have fun like in other schools.
The best school ever. This is the school that my daughter adores. Unfortunately, we had to move out of state, so we had to withdraw. Ever since, she has asked me to bring her back to this school.
Such a shame a great school has become so rubbish in the past few years since new leadership. As a previous student who was not supported through my mental health difficulties throughout years 11 to 12, by leadership, I had to rely on very few teachers who have now mostly left or been kicked out based on false accusations and had their lives ruined. This school does not support everyone and makes it very difficult for students who need extra care to thrive. The unfair and cruel behaviour they show to not only their students but staff as well is appalling. the only star i can give is for my previous teachers who were there to support me through difficult times and not at all thanks to those who run the school. If your child suffers with mental health or is prone to anxiety this is not the school for them. They care more about ATAR results than their students wellbeing.
