I only started attending St David's after their wonderful Christmas Eve service last year (2015): a service of nine lessons and carols. I feel I have found my Church home after a long time. Andrew Clarke is, in my opinion, an outstanding minister with all the qualities of steady Christian care and compassion one would wish for in this role. He and other visiting preachers give fine sermons based on a deep understanding of scripture as well as being intensely relevant to current world concerns, our personal human nature and relationship with God. It is a traditional church so for me the hymns are solid and familiar and there is a very good organ with excellent music flowing from our various organists. People have been most welcoming to me, and also very respectful and not intrusive. There are numerous and varied opportunities for fellowship beyond the actual Sunday services. There are also different opportunities to serve and make a contribution, such as joining the gardening group. The church building is aesthetically very pleasing indeed, without being overly ornate, and it is therefore a very popular choice for weddings I have noticed.

Admittedly when I attended St Davids one year ago after a 40 year absence, I was a nervous but there was no need, as the moment I walked through those doors, it felt like home. The Minister Andrew Clarke is a very dedicated, special and inspiring person whose sermons are a privilege to listen to. He has a great rapport both both young and old and leads by example. I am so grateful that my road in life led me to St Davids and the warm and supportive congregation that I found there.

Worshipping God here is meaningful for me because God's word is preached truthfully, and hymns are sung with conviction. The Apostles' Creed, the Nicene Creed and others are recited by the congregation, so we can confess our faith in public.
